I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD Limited with an OME 2.5" lift and was wondering if anyone has tried 15x7" or 15x8" steel rims(either ProComps or Cragar's) with 31x10.50 BFGoodrich KM2's? The wheels have a 3.75, 4, or 4.5" backspacing...any recommendations on which wheel or backspacing? I have read some info on what will fit and what won't but was looking for personal experience.
Thanks

7 inch width and 4 inch back spacing works good

Ditto.
Cragar D Windows, 15x7 with a 4 inch backspace.
General Grabber AT2, 31x10.5x15.
HD Frankenlift .. Minimal rub, needed to get rid of the pinch welds. Rub on the sway bar at full lock.

I roll 15x7's with 4" backspace. I have Nokian Vatiiva m/t's in a 31x1050. I pounded the pinch welds, trimmed a fair amount of front bumper and wheel well liners, and I still rub a little in reverse. The tread tire I have is pretty aggressive though. I love the look of soft 8s and the stance of the kj with them on. I'm gonna look tomorrow, but I don't think I rub at all on my swaybar.

Just ordered a set of 15x8 Cragar Soft 8's with Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 31's. If all goes well I'll have them on and dirty as soon as possible.

Another question I have is does anybody know when they changed from the older TPMS to the newer rubber stems ones. I hope my TPMS works with my new wheels but if not its not that big of a deal to me.

you should get the 15x7 instead of the 15x8. youll find the 15x8 will rub a lot more. i highly doubt you have the rubber valve stemmed tpms sensors unless they have been replaced within the last couple years.

Good news....the new wheels and tires are on. Went with DC Mud Country tires instead of Mickey Thompsons because they were in stock. The TPMS sensors also transferred over to the Cragar Soft 8's with no prob. There is some rubbing but after I pound the pinch welds and trim some of the front fenders it should be golden.....Pics to come.

Wow, so the 15x8s do work.

How much trimming you do exactly?

I use this as a guide to trim the fenders....

15x7" rims are probable a better idea for less rubbing but 15x8" wheels do work.

This is too funny! I logged in here hoping someone would answer this very question.. Can you put 15" rims on instead on 16's? & you did.. The Cragar soft 8's with the 31x10.50's look great! So what Backspace did you get on hose rims?

Go 7 inch wide with 4 inch back spacing
anything else and you could have problems

Nice combo looks great. I have been running 15x8 for ...wow 4 years now. Can't believe it has been that long.
