Hi! First New Year post - frugal question. Followed tjkj2002's advice and priced the Unique Wheel 297 instead of the Cragar Soft 8 and just like down in the US they are about 25% cheaper and just have the different center cap AFAIK... maybe different BS? (Thx bro! good advice!) http://www.uniquewheel.com/scripts/seri ... Series_297 Am leaning towards the 297-7712 in 16x7 with 4" backspace. Anyone have any issues running this little backspace with 245/75r16s ? (Other than maybe more mud on her sides... Am really wondering if I should bite the bullet and buy a fifth and tire for a good spare - or do you think it might still have to have a spacer or something to get it to clear window opening or fit the bumper? (Thought I read someplace you can flip the spare carrier or mod somehow) Anyone? |

4" of BS is the most common around here with the 16X7 that is. about the spare from my experience its very useful to have a full size if u offroad a bit cuz the liberty will drive weird with different wheel heights well any car would but with a lift it sort of amplify the effect plus the new wheel with a full size spare will look way cooler on the back than any other mod u can think of as for the spare mount i have 245/70/16 full spare, no spacer and the window is very much clear with half an inch difference (one side) i would say that you shouldn’t need a spacer either hope i helped |

I just put on 5 Cragar soft 8s. The spare fits fine on the back, in fact there is more clearance for the window with the smaller backspace. Definitely put on a full size matching spare. looks great to boot on the back. |
