265-70-16 on the spare tire on the rear door, clear and allow the window to open, if not, would i even be able to fit it on there without extreme modifications? Im assuming im going to have to order a roof rack for it, but i figured i might as well ask.

*searched for an 40 minutes and couldnt find anything*

im no expert but I have seen "adapters" to fit a 31" spare....not sure if that would solve your issue or not.

Im curious as well.

I'm not sure if it will fit, but you can just put a spacer on the bracket to allow it to stick out further.

A lot of people flip the tire carrier over to give them an extra inch or so of clearance for the glass.

Very curious as to what people use as I will probably get new tires next year.

Actually, now that I think of it.. I have a 31inch tire, measured at 30.8, and it worked fine..
And according to a tire size calculator a 265-70-16 size tire is 30.6.
Now, all tires, even thought they are the same size, measure slightly differently due to tread design.

The spare is a never seen the pavement General Grabber AT/2 - 31x10.5x15

These four bolts are holding on the tire carrier.
They are e-torx bits.
I just used a 1/4 socket, gently to get them out.

EDIT:
That is to take out the studs completely, just take off the four nuts on the studs and the bracket will come right out.

With 265/70-16 tire mounted on stock alloy wheel...there was 1/16" between the sidewall and the wiper arm. But that's all you need! :) Everything else worked fine. Go for it.

I'm going away from this combo on the stock rims because they are rubbing the ball joints now and I'm afriad of a blowout...going to use steel wheels instead of spacers. But yeah... it'll work at the spare location just fine.

I've been running a 265/75/16 Warden/Moab combo for two months with no problem. I need to flip the bracket to clear the glass though.

I just recently installed 235/85 16s (almost 32")...they also interfere with the rear glass. I'll have to try flipping the bracket.

figured mine out. Flipped rear bracket, and added two 3/4 spacers on the bottom to bring it out far enough. The window still blatantly hits the tire, but all i do now is close the door and window in sync, they both close fine and it only bothers me a little bit :-)r
