My Black Rock wheels finally showed up! This is the "Lobo" wheel, 15x7, 4.25" backspacing. (The white ring is just protective packaging).I put them on the scales and they weigh 24 pounds each. That is 6 pounds more than the 16x7 factory alloys...so not too terribly bad. It's exactly what I expected. I'll post up more pics once they are installed. I think they'll look sharp on my white/black KJ with black pinstripe. ![]()

Ok I got them on the Jeep now. I HATE how far the center caps stick out...but I'm working on solutions for that. Anyway, here they are for now. They make the sidewalls of the tires match up PERFECTLY with the edge of the fender flares. I really like them. I'm glad I went with 4.25 BS. If they offered this wheel in 4.50 BS it would be even better. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now comes the hard part... I have to take it out and twist it up on the trail and see where I need to trim. I'm pretty sure I'll have to trim a little behind the front bumper. I think the pinch weld might be OK. Hopefully the rear won't tear my fender flares off....I am running bumpstop extensions so hopefully it'll be OK. |

Thanks. And yes, I did have to do some trimming already just to turn it on the street. No telling how much plastic I'm going to have to cut once I hit the trail. Guess it's time to stock up on more Dremel cut-off wheels. Poor Jeep....

how mine are cut in front ![]() and the pinch weld is pounded with some plastic layed over it to make it look better. ![]() the rear stuffed with a 265-70-16 and the bump stops that came with the franken lift, went to rausch for two days and didnt tear anything off, so i think theyre fine
