I purchased 5 KM2's on 15x8's from Summit. I went to put them on this morning and realized the adhesive weights they used on the inside of the wheel barely hit the calipers on the front (drums on the rear were okay). So I took them back off and took them down to the shop to get them rebalanced. They used the clip on weights to balance them (4.5oz on the outside of one!). Anyways, so does anyone know of a good idea to color the lead weights black?

As well, The wheels are 4.75" BS. I am going to leave my 1" wheel spacers on to get the 3.75" stance I am looking for. Opinions?

I went through this same thing last week.

I had the shop use clip-on weights ONLY on the inner lip. That way, you don't see the unsightly weights clipped onto the black wheels.

Second, with 8" wide wheels I think you're going to rub like crazy. Mine are 7" wide and 4.25BS, so I have much less sticking out than you will, and I still ended up having to do surgery on my front bumper liner and air-dam to make them work.

Get you a good Dremel tool and some cut-off wheels if you plan to run those.

Most people will say take them off, but I say, see how they work and if the tires start rubbing then you know to take them off

Anyone seen any facts on wheel bearing issues with leaving the spacers on? Or "shear effect"?

If it was me, I'd ditch the spacers. The KJ is notorious for ball joint and bearing issues with stock wheels. Stick those puppies out there with aftermarket wheels AND spacers and you're just asking for trouble as the miles rack up. Not to mention your KJ will look like a roller skate.

Let me rephrase. I took the spacers off and they are for sale.

The tire/wheel combo turned out perfect!

Pictures to come tomorrow!
