245/75 = maximum height you can run without major trimming. downside is they are narrow and look goofy as he*l. 255/70 = wide enough to look great without major trimming. downside is they are *slightly* shorter tires. 265/70 = same height as 245/75, but with the added width to look great under the jeep. downside is they rub the upper control arms near the ball joint, they rub the rear inner fender lining, and they may require trimming. I have used all of these sizes on factory alloy wheels with no spacers to come up with this info. This obviously assumes you are lifted. |

as tall and wide, go 265-70-16s then, won't loose much power, ride well, and look good on the MOABS! I ran that size for a while and they looked good |

How about on soft 8s? They look to have the same offset. |

With MOABs you are going to rub worse because they are wider wheels and they stick out farther too. So if you don't want to do major trimming I would NOT recommend 265/70s on those. I'd stick with 255/70 or maybe even 255/65 if you find that you still rub pretty bad. |

Moabs have the same backspacing as stock, so you do have an inch more sticking out, but a lot of people run a 4 inch back spaced Soft 8 wheel 7 inches wide which is about the same thing. Only problem I ever had was with the rear hitting the flares when stuffed and that was taken care of with more bumpstop |

not really. MOABs are 5.0" BS, stock is always 5.5" BS. So you have the 1" extra width, plus .5" more sticking out. They'll rub like he** on the average lifted KJ with 265s. Not to mention MOABs are 28 lbs each...which is 10 lbs more than stock PER WHEEL. |
