Wondering if this has been done. I am between 245 75 16 and 235 85 16 (leaning more towards the 235 85 16) and I want to run soft 8s and I was wondering how bad they rub with those wheels. I know with stock wheels they work out pretty nice, but I have yet to see a soft 8 wheel with this tire size. |

I think width is the issue. I don't think that tire is recommended for a wheel width wider than 7". That tire size is correct fir the serious enthusiast however. |

The soft 8s are 7in width which I think should be ok for thes tires since they are meant for a 6-7in wheel. But you do raise a good point as the tire maxes at the width of soft 8s. I just like the idea of dealing with 32s until I can afford to get DTT and 4.10s. But I also see that 31s look good and will be almost as good, just sad that the 32s are cheaper.

32s and there goes your power unless you're swapping gears soon, stay with 245-75s |

Plus By the time I would get tires Ill have a BG tune so torque management will be gone and I should have enough power to make 32s drivable. |

I put on 235/85s recently. As for power, I have the 6 speed and don't have any issues...can't speak to what an automatic feels like. I considered 245/75s but wanted the tall narrow look. Sometimes I think the 245s might have been a better way to go...but then I look at the jeep and feel the way it drives and I'm pretty happy with it. |

Pablo's running 235/85/16's on 7" soft 8's and yes he's running 4:10 on a tuned CRD http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2662913/2006-jeep-liberty-queen-creek-az-us?p=1 |

I have been tossing and turning over which size I want to go with. Im not sure Ill need 32s, but want to max the Jeep out for those rare situations I wheel it plus they look a bit better too. Honestly whats going to happen is the wifes going to get pregnant and Im going to realize that 4.10s will never happen and get soft 8s and 31s... I am pretty sure with a tune/flash Ill have more power and torque then I would need to make 32s work. No matter what I want 4.10s and DTT front and rear. |

I honestly Don't think the CRD needs 4.10's or the tune to push the 32's. I run load E 265-70-16's with the f37 detune and It pushes them around just fine. Although im sure he wanted a lower crawl ratio for where he wheels so the 4.10's made sense for him. I plan on going with 235-85-16's on Dwindows soon and am staying with the stock gearing. Eventually i am going to get the hot tune, but for now i think the stock CRD can push around 32's just fine. |

Lots of difference between 265-70 and 265-75s may not "need " them with a CRD but with any it makes a big difference, of course some will argue that the sun never shines so............... |
