Post subject:  16x8 kmc enduro with 265/75/16 bfg at?
I just ordered my frankenlift from alljs and am shopping for wheels and tires to go with it. All the wheels I like are 16x8 with 4.5" back spacing. I really want to run the 265/75/16. I don't mind cutting the inner fenders and pinch welds. Jeep is a 2005 crd used for daily driving and some off road planning on ouray co and Moab trips in fall. I have seen a couple libs running pro comp wheels w the same specs but all are running 245/75/16. Will my tire wheel combo not work? Or what will it take to work. Thanks in advance

Did I order the wrong part? All j said it was the right lift hd ome springs?

They have an CRD lift no problems
Your problem will be the backspacing on the wheels and the size tires you want to run.
Even with 5 inches of backspacing mine rub like crazy when fully flexed.
Best is a 7 inch wide wheel with 245-75-16s if you're going to wheel it
or a narrow tire possibly but then again you'll need a narrow wheel like 7 inch

So the extra 1/2" of back spacing even with the smaller tires and trimming will not be workable? I dont mind moderate rubbing while flexing just don't want to rub every time I make a turn on the street

running 245-75s you could get away with it, assuming you go ahead and install rear bumpstops ( 2 hockey pucks per side, can go to 3 if needed later

You should look at a 235/85/16
same height narrower - fewer clearance issues

On bfg web site that tire is recommended for a 7" rim will that be a problem mounting it on the 8" rim?

If you want to run the 8" rims with the back space you have given use the 245/75/16 tire. You will have to pound the pinch weld and "cut plastic" at a line that lines up with the top of the foglight door on the front. In the rear you will have to run a 3" bump stop and trim the plastic that sticks in beyond the metal in the back and pount the pinch weld that is at the front 1/3 of the rear wheel wells.

Other than that, not a big deal. The only place I rub is fully flexed going up hill backwards and then I get a little in the right side front.

Not sure, but if you go to the 265/75 you will most likely have to regear to maintain any kind of mileage or on road performance. Others have had that experience.

Last but not least, if you have not bought wheels go with 7" and 4" back space and save yourself some headaches.

I have not bought wheels yet but could not really find any 16x7 other than cragers I think. Any suggestions on companies to look at? Prefer aluminum. Thanks for all the help.
