They are right. 245/70-16 WILL fit your Jeep Liberty. In fact, it will be the perfect size for it in my opinion. I paid $106 each for my Generals shipped to my door. Good luck.

Ok I have determined from another thread and some very helpful KJ owners that the Destination A/T and also the Dueler A/T fit a stock KJ in the 245/70R16 size with no rubbing. I like both of those tires and may get the Firestone but I REALLY like the Grabber AT2 for both my Ram 1500 and our stock '04 KJ. Les Schwab here in town will sell, warranty and service the Grabber (but they have to special order it so I need to know the size I want) just like any of their other tires for 20% more than buying them from tirerack.com and paying shipping and install and having no service after the sale. For the Destinations I have to drive an hour to Salt Lake City to get them and then also for any service after that but they are buy 3 get one free right now and I like the M/T for my Ram too. I digress, here is my question. Is anyone running the Grabber AT2 on a stock, gas, KJ '02 or newer in the 245/70R16 and if so do you have rubbing and do you have a picture of the vehicle with those tires on it and come to think of it how do you like the overall performance of this tire? I was going to go for the 235/75R16 in the Firestones but it's not an available size in the Grabber and lots of people here say they like the wider look and performance of the 245/70R16 better anyway so maybe I will too. I can't vouch for the Grabber at2 in the 245/70R16. But I have a set of the BFG's AT/KO in the exact same size on mine ( 2 weeks old ). My KJ is a 2002 sport as well, and they don't rub at all. From what I have been hearing they are about the same tire, however you should be saving alot of money going with the Grabber. |

I am running the Destination ATs 245/70 16s with no rub except in reverse with the wheel cranked, but very little then. You should have no problem with any of them in that size (245/70s) |

Yup 245/70/16 Bridgestone revos here. Rub a little, full lock backing up against the fog/driving light covers.Nothing to worry about though. If you are thinking of getting a lift in the near future though(which I am), I would wait if you can and get bigger tires. You don't really gain any height with the 245 size in my opinion. I sort of wish i waited. They are great tires though. It seems like once you get new good tires and see how they they compliment your jeep you want to start modding more and more.just some food for thought.. |

Yes I now wish I would of gotten the lift first but I HAD to get those badyears off. Did not have the $$$ for lift, tires etc all at the same time. I still think it will be OK with the 245/70s and a lift though, or at least I hope. |

I would pick a brand that is using the new compounds under various names. Goodyear, Goodrich, Fire/bridgestone, Cooper and I'm sure a few others are using it. It has excellent abrasion resistance |
