I am installing a 2.5 inch lift this weekend and have a question about my tires/I am running bfg's in 235/70 and wanted to know how much bigger in inche's a 245/70 or 75 would be?I am concerned that the lift will drown out the tires and make it look funny.Any thought's?

Just about every lifted Libby runs a 245/75r16 which is a 31" tire. Look through this site and there are lots of pretty pics. :D

The difference between a 235 and a 245 70R16 is only about .6-.8 inches.

the1ferg,

Just curious...why do you prefer the 255/70 over the 245/75 - looks, handling, rubbing?

Regards,
Deboy922

I would like to know also... I am going to be doing a lift in a few months and was wondering which would be better for both the trails and road.. I know the 255/70R16's are a wider tire... But I would think it would rub worse then the 245/75R16...

Ben

Wider tires can have a negative impact on fuel economy, if the KJ were a sports car and on road handling were a priority I would use wider tires but I stuck with 75 series.
