Does anyone know if Rubicon rims with the stock 16" tire would fit my 02 Renny without a lift??? Most of the ones I see on ebay and other places are used rims taken off of Wranglers with the stock 31" 245/75R15 tires. Thanks.

The rims will fit with your current tires, however 245/75/16 tires WILL NOT fit without a lift. Even with a lift it is probable that they will rub a bit.

Rubicon Rims + 245/75-16 tires it will not fit on a NON-lifted KJ
After lift, no problems rubbing - a bit on full turn backwards, but nothing that can't be fixed quick.

If I were to get the rims without the tires, what tires would you recommend that would not require getting a lift?

245/70 16 should fit fine. The extra backspacing may or may not cause a little rub at full turn. I know there are 1 or 2 guys on here who have done this, so hopefully they will chime in.

I have the Rubi's on my unlifted 02 KJ (post lowered production) w/ 245/70/16 and only have minor kissing at full lock. I did not cut nor mod anything on these.

It looks great w/ wider stance and fills wheel wells nicely.

What is more important is the OAD of the rubber. I think mine are 29.6" while the OEM rubber was I think 29.1"

The MTR at 31" will not fit mine without a lift. Hope this helps.

Yes, the Rubi rims do fit with a stock tire on an unlifted '05. But why in the world would you want to run junk like the stock tires? They're downright dangerous. I put on 255/65/16's Firestone Destination's on my Rubi rims and have greatly improved the overall performance of the KJ. Track is about 3 inches wider overall, right to the edge of the fender flare. Much more stable and handling on the road has improved 500%!!!! I know, my other car's a 1970 911S!!!
