Hi all

Any Ideas why my Blower has stopped working? All other controls seem to work fine. But no air coming out of the vents. With the air con on full I can feel the cold air by the vent but its not blowing!!!

We need a little more information.
Can you hear the blower motor and there is no air coming out?
Do you have a high fan speed or none at all?

It could be the blower motor resistor.

The resistor is attached to the rear of the HVAC housing, directly behind the glove box. It is accessed threw the glove box opening. It has a plastic mounting plate, wire connector, and a metal housing with a circuit board inside.
Quick fix if that is the problem.

No, the blower motor is not running at all. No fan at all.

If the jeep is under warranty it is time to go take it in.

Yep, I agree with hrogi! Time to take it in.
This happened to a N***o owner. A mouse had built a nest in the blower and it stopped it from turning. 3 times. lol
It could be as simple as that, or much more.

haha a mouse!!!!, I dont think its mouse due to the fact it was working half way through a 3+ hour trip, we pulled up for about 10 minutes in a car park and it wouldn't run afterwards.

Thinking about it, just before that we were on a rough track for about 20 minutes, I wonder if something has shook loose???

FYI:

Called Jeep yesterday (Tuesday evening), They can have a look on Friday. I said I needed a courtesy car - they said 2 weeks wait. I kicked off. 5 week old car, already the 2nd time its been in 1st for gear box, now for this, car is dangerous with no de-mist capability etc etc. told them I would drive a sales reps car while they fix it.

30 minutes later they called me back - they had a very coincidental cancellation, meaning there was a space in the work shop and a car available for first thing this morning...

Anyhow, turned up there at 7:30 this morning, noticed VIP stamped on the paperwork. Mechanic was straight in it, under the dash and glove box. 10 minutes later it was fixed. Dodgy connection on the blower controller under the glove box. Apparently "a passenger could have knocked it off". Well that's a crap place to put it then if you ask me.....

My experience with the dealer has been good so far, but I'm not impressed with things going wrong this early in the cars life. I guess I just need to see how it goes.

Glad you were able to get it fixed. Thanks for posting the solution. Now others will know where to check if they have similar issues.
