So I took the Libby out yesterday and got it pretty deep in a mud hole. aside from a good undercarriage cleaning what other things can I do to prevent any issues that may arise from mud getting where it shouldn't?

I intend to open my diffs and fill them with clean fluid just to be on the safe side
What are some other vital components that I might want to change fluid/do maintenance on after a good mud bath
-Transfer case?
-What sealant do you recommend to button everything back up?

Any incite would be greatly appreciated!

Have you extended your breathers? If the water was above your breather lines you could get water in the t-case or tranny. If you haven't extended yours breathers now would be a good time to do it.

Hey!!! Had a blast yesterday at sugar hill!! I'd extend the breathers and check all the fluids....you were deep but not too deep. After you got pulled out I went thru that hole again.

I got a sprinker for the water hose and placed it under the jeep. Soooo much mud feel off of it....hahaha I HATE the mud, but it was fun!

We showed them wranglers that we could hang in there.

As far as the sealent. I used the black rtv gasket maker. Works perfect every time.

 HEY! I didn't know that was YOU.

You took a significantly better line than I did the first time XD

I ended up losing track of everyone after the pit. I went and changed into some shorts. Had mud up to my knees :ROTFL:

The girl with the Green JK has a vid of you tearing up Mud pitt on the facebook page if you havn't seen it yet it also depicts my horrible failure XD I was a bit timid and hesitated on the launch. had I backed up about ten more feet and gunned it I may have made it.

Decided to take off my grille guard as a change, probably going to put on some KJ tow hooks (I know the risks, and I don't like them but I got the tow hooks before I knew about it). Also decided to take off the plasti-dip on my grille because I took a portion off with a car wash a week ago.

1 hour and 5 bucks later, I got a new looking front end

I think you may have men't to post this in the "What did you do to your kk today section"

As an added note: I don't know how you managed to take your plasti dip off in a car wash I ran mine through pressure washes, brushed car washes, had a tire replaced on a dipped rim and ran it through all kinds of sandy rocky mud without a scratch.

How many coats did you use?

Had I been a hair taller and hit it a bit faster yes. I would have made it through, I made the biggest mistake you can do while muddin and hesitated. Let off the gas a little bit and sunk

How'd ya get out? I really have to find time to get out on the trails. I'm quite the amateur, but with the lift and performance goodies, hopefully she'll handle it all easier.
