ok, now that my lift kit is squared away....and quiet :ROTFL: its time for tires. These stock mini van tires really lack. My car sees about 80% road and 20% off road. I am pretty sure the firestone destination A/Ts are what i want. (unless you have other recomendations) but my main question is, since i do mostly highway, would a 235/75/16 suit me better than a 245/75/16? I ask because with mostly highway that I drive, MPG are a small concern I have. I have searched and saw some say up to 3mpg difference from stock, and some say they saw no change!? If i did my research correct, the 235 is a 29.9 tall tire and the 245 is a 30.5 so I am wondering if that half inch will make that much of a difference.

I feel like a tire salesman with all of my recommendations, but I have 245-70-16 GY Silent Armor's and they're great. Can't say anything about the difference from stock since mine didn't come with 16" wheels, but they aren't loud and I still get good milage with them (around 20mpg if I'm cruising the interstate at 65ish mph)

I would also give look at the General grabber at2. I have several sets and they work great in all conditions. I also due a lot of highway driving and my last set lasted to just under 67K.

Mine still look pretty "stuffed" with them, although we'll see when I get it from the shop post-lift

Not necessarily too large, but they have that big tire look you seem to want. It will probably be different with the lift being installed, I'll post a picture here when I pick it up later today.

Edit: I deliver faster than a Domino's man  I like the tire size for the lift, I should get around to flexing it a bit tonight at our farm so we'll see how that goes

I did a lot of research before going with Michelin LTX A/T2s in size 215/85 R16

Get fractionally better MPG than stock and none of the disadvantages of larger tires.

I run stock sized 225/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3s, They are phenomenal tires on and off road, like you I drive too much on concrete to get something too aggressive, so ATs are the way to go.

If your worried about gas mileage - dont lift it and dont get bigger tires :ROTFL:

Theres a price you pay just to look cool :dizzy: :dizzy:

Or to have it do the job you want it to do.

There's an old saying - you can't have your cake and eat it too.

:BINGO:

You saying that even with an inch taller but less wide tire you get better MPG? What was your stock? 225/75/16?

that makes me really interested in that size.
