at this point, i think i may remove and go with a spacer style lift.....

i know yall hate them but everyone i talk to who has a daystar lift or RK lift they say its just as quiet as stock......and for me its all my OME and JBA stuff sqeaking and making noise.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You want problems and issues just go with any type of spacer lift
Quiet as stock, get lots of what they have been smoking and huffin' while you are at it.
Man I'll tell ya , we've all tried to help but this is just getting to the point of being ridiculous now
Sorry to be rude which I am accused of sometimes but first you have to break a lift in which ya never did,
half of the suggestions were never tried and or done
With the noise you have anyone with any experience at all should be able to find it real easy
FIND the problem before you rip it out and create other issues and then have a real BIT*H to write about

Try this
get some silicone spray ( not the best idea but it may help pinpoint your problem)
Spray the isolator's say on the right front shock and try it, then try left front, again try that then, then UCA bushings, etc until you have went over each suspension part that moves in any way
Have to remember you installed the UCAs and ran them tightened without weight on them so you could of messed them up as well
Wished you lived closer I'd gladly look it over just to prove there is no good reason in the whole wide world to swap out an OME lift for a spacer lift :banghead: :banghead:

I tried EVERYthing that was suggested to me in this thread. and the UCA bushings are fine. the UCA made noise over bumps, you guys suggested to retq them and I did.....problem solved there. You guys recomended cleaing my sway bushings, i did and it fixed some of the sqeaking...now the rest of my squeaking is coming from the drivers side shock/ spring. I can place my hand over it while rocking it listening to the noise and feel the vibration in it. Just getting tired of listening to this squeak, Its getting bad and loud and pople hear it 20 ft away when i pull into a lot/space. it squeaks if i were to run over a quater, thats how sensative it is.

If that seems to be where it is, pull it out and see what the problem is, only takes 15-20 minutes to pop ,it out and check
UCAs did you completely loosen the bolts then retighten or just tighten them more while on the ground ?

Then get a new strut and hey, if that fixes it, then you don't have to spend money on a stinky poo spacer lift that you're gonna have issues with anyways. If it doesn't fix it then guess what? You have THREE front shocks you can sell in order to pay for your spacer lift.

Edit: I like how it corrects the s word to "stinky poo"... :-)r

At this point I'd be willing to throw in ten bucks ( almost) to help buy you a front shock JUST to get the issue fixed so we can move on

buy some MT's - you won't be able to hear the suspension.

Still think there is something very simple
you just have to find someone that knows what they are doing
HAVE NEVER heard one make any noise like that out of all that we've done here

i thought the same too, the tech that works on my car is no stranger to cars, hes got an OPS drag car thats pretty well known around here and was recomened by other jeepers around here. he broke it all down and put it back together and the same noise, he said the strut was perfectly fine and thought since the spring was so stiff it could be the reason.

I had a friend with a 90 cherokee sport with 35s and a 5 inch lift take a ride in my car, and as he put it, my car was way louder than his (but drive way better)

all parts look to be in perfect shape......i dont get it

so I am thinking of selling it all. 300 shipped for UCA and 650 shipped for OME lift kit HD/MD complete with strut mounts/preassembled.

Springs are not too stiff
know that for a fact , many have them with no issues
WHEN you had the shock/spring assembly out did you try moving the UCA to see if there was noise there?

If you can get an audio clip of the sound, it might be helpful.

Man, that sounds so sway bar related.

Do this...remove both swaybar links at the LCAs and tie the swaybar up out of the way. drive it like that and see if it goes away

This sounds like really great advice. I think it would be worth it to try it yourself.

the sounds do not come from the sway area, they come from the strut/strut mount area it seems.
