Upper or lower? Does it only do it over bumps or also happen if moving the wheel side to side?

Upper strut mount and it makes squeaky noises over the slightest bumps, humps and speed bumps. It squeaks its butt off driving down a normal paved road. I sent tommudd a few videos of the squeaks

Wonder what would happen if you loaded the truck with a lot of weight and drove around some.

heres a pic of where my clevis is, now that i see it, they are uneven on both sides.

should i make the clevis touch the perch?

I was looking close at this Pic. I had to save it to my PC and lighten it up...
I do not have the OME lift. So, could someone who does, take a look at your spring isolator?
Let us know if it looks the same
.
In the above Pic the rubber isolator goes up almost 1-1/2 full coils. It looks like the spring is not seated all the way to the stop on the bottom of the isolator, and also looks like it may be rubbing on the inside of the strut around the upper part of the isolator.

Edit:
I just looked at the top part of the Pic. I see a black plastic cover on the top part of the strut. It looks to be not aligned with the strut. Hard to describe, but looks to be hanging with the inboard edge against the spring and the outboard side sitting on the strut. The cover bottom appears to be hitting the spring on the inside.

the boot doesnt hit, i thought it maybe the boot too and asked the shop to remove it. they rocked the jeep heavily and saw it doesnt hit the spring.

as for the isolator, its a factory isolator and does look like theres a MM or two gap but that shouldnt be causing all this rukus. besides the noise comes frm the top. not the bottom.

looks like the lift is coming off this week.

Are you absolutely sure the UCAs are tight? I had a squeak that got progressively worse, turned into a loud clunk when accelerating, braking, cornering. Noise was coming from the driver's side UCA. The rear bolt was a beeatch to get to. Finally got a fine-toothed ratchet and was able to tighten it up, no more noise.

UPDATE:

so i retorqued my control arm bolts while on the ground(loosend them first and bounced the libery a few time to help set them). Pasanger side I was able to get a TQ wrench in there and get both bolts to 100FT lbs (10 more then recomended). Drivers side i could get the front bolt torqued to 100 but the back one i couold not fit the torque wrench but was able to hit it good with a good airgun.

So did you torque the driver's rear UCA bolt or not?
I did not, air ratchet first, few weeks later, squeaky turned to clunky. I tightened it by hand (with the fine-toothed ratchet), as tight as I could, no more squeak/clunk.
I'd try and get to the bolt again.

i later removed the 2 10mm buts for the steering box or whatever it is and was able to get a tq wrench and it was actually tight enough

well.....for anyoen interested, I found my issue. What I paid JBA to do, was not done 100%. I was told by the tech who did the work it was my struts, the struts turned out to be good. The Strut nuts were not tight (the ones that hold on the strut mount on the strut)

O well.....i am not paying the shop a third time for a suspension install. I had the tech tighten the nut all the way and he was able to get it tighten all the way. only 1 or 2 threads were showing above the nut, after it was tightend it was silent and showedclose to 7ish threads above the nut......

needles to say, this whole kit is up for sale......make me an offer.

Just curious, why sell it now that the issue is taken care of?

Not the first time it has happened
I check everyone when it comes back from the shop that always did mine.
Had a Frankenlift a few years back the same way, found it before we installed it
Any good tech would of noticed it and taken care of it in the beginning
I think that was suggested a few times during the past few weeks as well

I am not paying another few hundred plus 100 for install and alignment, that would be the third time........

And Tom, the second shop claimed they checked it and it was good. :banghead:

Wont you have to pay to have the factory stuff installed and do another alignment?

Looks like that will be an expense either way.

I thought you said that you had two bad struts and one bad shock?
If they found the issue then why pay them to return it back to stock when its the same amount of work to put the upgraded suspension back on?

atthehelm, the shop told me they were bad, when i went to go get the jeep the tech looked it all over and said it was actually all ok when he realized the nut just wasnt tight enough.

when he found that out the stock suspension was already back on. O well. Iam mad at the shop because this was the same shop that said they were tight the first time i took it in. when i asked the tech about it he said well they looked tight. after complaining to the manager he agreed to reinstall it for half the price and half price alignment. at this point i was pissed and said no, i piad 1500 for the a-arms and suspension pre assembled, 200 for my friend to install it. 200 for shop to look it over and 400 to put stock suspension back on and another 130 to realign it. thats too much for all this headache so i am not dealing with it anymore. I also purchased an extra strut for 153 from amazon thinking it was just a bad strut but it wasnt so i am sending that back.

what if your buddy helped you put it back on but you did all the work. That way he shouldn't (in theory) charge that much. Then go to firestone and get a lifetime alignment plan for I believe $140. It happens sometimes that you troubleshoot for what seems to be forever and can not find the problem when the basic stuff had been over looked the whole time.
