What's the ID of the bottom and top coil of the springs?

SOMETHING has got to work!

the track bar is probably the easiest part of the lift.
Off hand I do not remember, they are smaller then the KJ coils though.

3.5" top and bottom on the KK if I remember correctly. The top coil on the KJ is fine, but the bottom coil diameter is way too much.

Those other kits won't even come close. If and when the Franklift comes out, that would be the best 2-3" kit to get. Having been working with All J Products in developing the KK Frankenlift and with Marlin at JeepinbyAl to develop the 4" KK kit, I can tell you these are not cheap "bits and pieces" budget boost kits, these are full suspension replacement kits. The HD KJ front Frankenlift will work right now, as it is, on the KK, however it will only give about 2" lift compared to the 3" it gives on the KJ. The biggest holdup on the Frankenlift is the rear coils, trackbar, and rear brakelines.
The 4" jeepinbyal kit is only waiting on rear brakelines. The rear brakelines are the biggest obstacle, and having torn the KK apart already to help develop these lift kits, I WOULD NOT lift a KK in anyway, shape, or form with any kit on the market without extending the rear brakelines. There is barely enough slack in the rear lines with the stock suspension, and adding lift at static height of only two inches, those brakelines were banjo strings.

So

Speaking theoretically, obviously, since I don't have a KK and won't have one until the KJ's worn out (and I mean too worn out for me to quit dumping money in it)

One could do a front frankenlift with the OME MDs or LDs and a 2" rear spacer, the PITA extended brakelines, and be set, as far as things currently on the market are?

The upper shock plates bolt up from the KJ to the KK? That's kinda scary...DaimlerChrysler left SOMETHING the same between two models

seems that way:
rock krawler 3.5" front strut and 2" rear spacer. working for 'rubicon rick' and his kk chk out his post and close up pics. although he says his brakelines are max'd out others that are working on other lifts state anything over 2"(maybe up to 3") needs extended brakelines, which are ready yet.

revtek 2" front and 1.25" rear with spacer seems to be popular and people like the ride. this should not give any issues with putting a strech on the existing rear breaklines.

daystar 2" front and 1.25" rear with spacer and a few online shock absorbers seem very close to revtek's but is cheaper and comes with more parts. have read one post were the ride was not good and they switched to revtek and liked it better, but why it's also spacer. also have read a post were other parts broke.

all this lifts are not what one would call a true lift as Al and frankline at a cost of about $2500. the ones listed above are around only $300. I am thinking of using a 1.25" revtek spacer in the rear this not pushing or asking much more than the factory parts can provide and the 3.5" rock krawler struts. this will bring the front up. have not heard of any constrants of bring the front end up this much with factory parts. this gets my front up by 2.25"which is maybe slighty higher than the front by .5" to .75"

thoughts......

The Clevis is only 3/8" longer as compared to 2004 and 2006 sport gas.

So why has the AL lift decided to provide a 4" lift? Has studies been done for roller over at certain degrees of incline? The center of gravity seems to be very high on this vehicle so why not 3.5" or 3" or if that is not the case than why not a 6" ? I hope it is not just that to market a lift in between 2" and 6" so not to have several various parts and produce only one set! Now saying that AL's stuff looks good and seems to be interested in the KK's maybe as he can provide quality stuff to a group of people who have nothing as if a had a toyota the there would be sooooo many various manufactures to choose and would also be cheaper! I don't want my KK have great articulation, but be top heavy! Looking for answers from AL. Also some pics of a KK with your 4" lift.....

Guys, does anybody know if Jeepin by Al is coming out with a 2.5" lift soon? I'm looking for a high quality lift, but I don't want 4".

I think All-J's Frankenlift has the quality under 4" lift market locked up.
or a little lower - all OME.

Ok, as soon as i get one more set of measurements, i will release my numbers. so far i have measured
2008 lifted kk with tow package, skids, and rock rails
2008 stock kk with 6 miles from a dealership with no upgrades
2009 stock kk with 2200 miles with no upgrades

Now all i need is a 2008 with more than 10000 miles so i can get an idea of what the suspension is like after it has setteled.

stupid me didn't measure before the lift

So what's the final outcome. Without the help of tires what is the settled height of a 4" JBA lift? I hope not 3.5"
