What does 245/65/17 equal in a 16" ?

245/65/17 = 29.53" tall
245/70/16 = 29.50" tall

This is the best tire size calculator out there, in my opinion. You can compare 5 sizes at once.

Yo,

I have a 2008 Liberty 4x4 limited. My stock tire size is P235/65R17. I don't want to lift my jeep at this very moment but I want to add some super swampers or BF Muds or something with a pretty aggressive tread. Does anyone know what the largest size I can get a way with without any rubbing etc? Thanks!

Also, does anyone use synthetic motor oil??? The owners manual suggests 5K change intervals using generic motor oil......does anyone out there use synthetic and how many miles before changing??? Amsoil vs. Mobil1.......any thoughts??? Thanks!!!

I change my oil when the light comes on. I use motorcraft 5w-20. Cuz it's about $15 for a 5qt jug. I wouldn't go much past 6k between oil changes anyways, don't want to void that powertrain warrerty. Within reason, for a normal driver, oil is oil is oil.

without a lift and no rubbing at all :? the smallest 17'' bfg km2 is 245 70/17 and I think they would rub. some one here fitted 245 75 16 witch is about the same size and they rubbed a little. I doubt you can get swampers that small
