ups... care to give us some ideas on how you got it on there?

See the second pic in the post above.
All I did was drill 2 holes for each of the included clips into the base of the drivers seat. Screw in the the provided screws and voilà.
Now this is assuming you have the appropriate mounting clips  .
The kit I found, came with them.

I did angle the front clip slightly upward to match the angle of the seat, which gives you a little more finger room to pull the light out of the clips.
I don't have power seats, so if there is an adjustment that would tilt the base of the seat fore or aft, this placement might not work.

ok going back to the wires in the back... As far as I know, it is all for the factory amp that come in the nitros and for the liftgate light, right side lights in the rear, and air bag squibs. There is a nice 10 or 12 gauge B+ wire back there also

I tuck mine in between the drivers seat and the console, above the frame - it sits tight, doesn't move or rattle, never tries to come loose.

Hey, I never even considered the passenger side....doh .
That looks like another viable alternative. Good call zoso.

Does it interfere any with the already limited leg room on the passenger side? Even my 5'4" wife complains about no leg room compared to the KJ.
Is the plastic on the console heavy enough to keep it steady?

Oh well, mines already in and that's that.

Paul

No effect on leg room. I tested it out myself, I am 6' tall, and it is absolutely no issue. There is actually a little bit of a lip there, and the flashlight is really sitting in line with that lip, and thus not in the way of anyone's legs. Here is an overhead view to give you an idea.

You are also right that the plastic is a bit flimsy there. It tends to pull out if you just grab the flash light in the middle. But if you pull the light out by the front of the flash light, it torques right out. I looked all over, and I am glad I picked this spot.

That's definitely a good spot for it. It's out of the way but still accessible.
Thanks for the info and pics.
