A hungry dog I found at a gas station. Poor guy was the nicest pooch ever! Just hungry and begging for a home. I did buy him a can of dog food from this gas station though. He gobbled it in like 2 seconds flat. I talked to one of the attendants there.. and she said she was going to take him home last night, but he was nowhere to be found. But since he'd come back, she planned on taking him home that night. (to be with her 3 other large dogs). She seemed quite concerned for his well being, so I wasn't worried that he would be taken care of.

That is my hood scoop. Had it on since a year ago..? I never had it professionally molded to the hood, since I want to paint the whole Jeep anyway. I haven't made it functional yet. Was deciding if I liked it there or not. Yes, I think I will get the hole cut next month. Easy job. I just don't have a sawzall.

All I did was drill a started hole and away I went

I have that style of strap-ons.. ..mirrors that is. Mine vibrate too much, don't like them.

Glad to hear everything went well with your vehicle haul. Did you think to turn off the Liberty's OD while towing?

I've found that the U-Haul equipment is far too often in poor shape when I go to rent it. You really need to walk around the trailer before signing the paperwork. The U-Haul vehicle trailers that I've rented typically came with hydraulic trailer brakes but no sway bars. And usually they interrogate me to learn what I'm hauling with and what I'm putting on the trailer. Nice to know they're actually concerned about my safety

Wow, you sure have a lot on top of your roof. Do you really need all the extra storage capacity? It must affect your gas mileage.

Strange, these mirrors didn't vibrate at all. I had them on super tight.. so who knows. As for my roof gear, yea it takes about 2mpg off the top. But, I have alot to carry. 4 man raft (w/paddles), 2 person tent, 2 sets gasmasks, 2 first aid kits, lots of extra lights of all kinds, tools, compressors, lots of straps of varying lengths and strengths, flares, a come-a-long, emer. pet supplies, portable radios, 400pg survival guide, solar chargers (for anything that needs charging)...... I mean, the list goes on and on and ON. Now, to carry all this inside would've obliterated my measely bit of cargo space in the back. So: It goes on top!

You could do like the guys I witnessed a couple of months ago. -

#1 use three pieces of rope about 10 ft long to tie the hitch of the tow vehicle to the front bumper of the towed vehicle.
#2 have a buddy ride in the tow vehicle and steer/work the brakes
#3 do not use flashers or any kind of warning signs or flags
#4 get out on the interstate and do 60+mph in rush hour morning traffic

I couldn't believe it. My first thought when I came up behind them in the next lane was "that car is riding the one in fronts booty awfull close". Then I saw what was happening as I passed. Unbelievable. Sorry, I know this is off subject and of no help, but it made me think of those guys. These guys got you covered anyways. I only ever tow about 2 miles.

Wow, sorry. I had already taken it off months ago when I got the hood repainted from the last crash. (free, so why not). If I go with it again I'll do pics. I'd rather have someone make me a fiberglass hood though.

bit late but to guys renting u hauls beware. there equipment is some times poor at best to add to the list the other guys listed wheel bearings, they say that the insurance will cover damages but if your pulling one of a kind carvings they cant cover that. the bearings on the trailer i got from them where loose and noisie, and 2 out of four brake lights worked . i had a firend that work there they said dont rent anything from them unless you have to, some of the small vans are ok low milage.
