Ok, here is a video by etrailer.com showing the installation of their aux transmission cooler on an '08 KK. They splice into a transmission line coming back from the OEM radiator, so there must be some transmission cooling in the radiator. It just may not be as much as some people feel comfortable with. Here is the youtube link if you'd like to watch the 3 minute installation video:
http://youtu.be/SAs8rgF7nb8The only trans cooler in a KK is a stand alone cooler that is the top few rows of the AC condenser.Any KJ with the 42RLE has a stand alone cooler in front of the AC condenser,KJ's with the 45RFE have a in-radiator trans cooler with a option of a added AUX cooler with HD cooling/tow package(in series with in-radiator cooler).
even adding it in series is an advantage.
