What have you done to your KK lately

got bored today, so i bought some herculiner and decided to put it on the front airdam and the side moldings, since they weren't in the best of shape. camera was dying so only got these pictures...

On a sad note, my mom drove my KK today since I had the company service truck... so I didn't even do any thing to it

Didn't do anything to my KK, but I did do something with it. Turns out, it's really handy for pulling down 20' branches that are dangling 30'-40' up in a tree. It felt good to use the new Jeep for something Jeep-like.

Jeep: for when you can't reach with a chainsaw. Have fun out there (tm).

I ordered my OEM Skid Plates and front tow hooks, installed the slush mats, and set up an time to get my front windows tinted.

That's pretty much my exact list of things to do.

I'm worried about the windows not matching near perfectly. When you get yours done can you post up some pics of how it came out?

got a bunch of stuff i ordered... the list of things recieved and going to be installed soon
flowmaster super 44 muffler
scan gauge II with rear view mount
chrome mirror covers
chrome door sills
i also got my new headlights and i plan on baking htem to black out the inside and possible add halos

.... going to get tints myself.... i have a problem though... it appears as if there are small scratched on the window of my car.... they are vertical scratches and they cannot be washed away.... what's causing this?... can it be fixed? at what cost, or if i bring it to jeep will they replace?

Do you have the part number for the tow hooks you ordered and do you know when they should arrive. I was at the dealer last week and there was some back order problem.

I also did this in my WK before. The tent didn't match exactly but i could only really notice it from the inside of the Jeep, but I got used to it really fast. Anyways, yea I will be glad to post photos.

The dude at the dealer said the description on them was a little weird. "Front tow hook Passenger" or something along that line. All my order should be in about 3 or 4 days. I'm going out of town tomorrow so I hope it is all in when I get home.

Thanks, that is what I thought you would say. The one listed for the KK is passenger side only, but I am assuming if you buy two you can easily install on both sides.

It is the 2007 KJ "pair" of tow hooks that was on backorder. My understanding is they are pretty much the same so I was hoping to buy that pair and save a little money compared to buying 2 single KK hooks.

Wolverine, welcome to the board. Sorry for my delay in responding, I've been out of town and away from my computer for 1.5 weeks (including doing some backpacking in Colorado)

There is only the very slightest rub at the area where the pinch weld is at the back of the front wheel wells. Nothing that I'm concerned about, but it did keep me from going (at this time) to 31.5" OD tires without performing the pinch weld modification. You can find info on my wheels in this thread. Part Number 82211654

Jonny, so did the dealership order you 2 of part number 82211654? I am curious to find out what you receive because according to the parts book the tow hook attaches with 2 bolts on one side and 1 bolt on the other so 2 of the same tow hook won't work because you need the mirror image.

Anyone else run into this?

Yes he ordered two. But we shall see.

Something I just found in the Factory Maintenance manual.
