Trimmed the hell out of my front fenders but I am still rubbing a little on one of the rivets... I may need to pound down the pinch well too as that's rubbing slightly.

I can't beleive you're rubbing so bad with the ome and 245/75/16s. What tires are they? I have plenty of room with mine.

Treadwright Wardens... Yeah I was pretty surprised too it seemed like nobody else was having this issue with them. I am not sure I can even flex at all without serious rubbing so I am pretty disappointed right now.

You might have to do the conduit nut clevis lift trick to give you that little extra or go with a top plate spacer.

I was looking at the clevis lift for a quick fix. I might give it a shot this coming weekend.

Just do both while you are in there if you can hold off another week to get the spacers from Boiler (member of this forum). I just did it all and it was really a very easy and inexpensive way to gain 1.5" without using an unsafe number of conduit nuts. At the same time, order 2 sets of extra rear spring isolators from Marlin with Jeepin by Al (JBA)

My thread with pictures:

Boilers thread with info on ordering:

Really I'm looking for a quick fix without having to go to the extent of removing the front coil over from the truck to put in an oot spacer. I think the conduit nuts would even me out as well (currently 21" in back and 20 1/2" in front).

I get it, I think 3 conduit nuts (3/8" stack) will give you enough to level it out. Those 3 conduit nuts will net you 3/4" of lift.

After you remove the clevis fork to put the conduit nuts on....its only 4 more bolts in the engine compartment to put the oot plate on though 8)

Yeah... Plus removing the battery and air box to get to it :)

8 bolts. Plus an air box, battery retainer, battery, fuse box, fuse box bracket, and battery tray. 8)

Haha, i stand corrected :jester:

You just need to have a few beers and take your time with it. The airbox side is really easy (10 minutes maybe) The battery side is a little more, maybe 20.

Follow the JBA 2.5 inch writeup in the KK tech section and it even gives you socket sizes. I was dreading removing the battery, unbolting the plate, blah, blah ,blah but the steps were well written and it was a breeze.

My 2011 clevis fork was a little different than the one shown but since you have an '08 you're in for smooth sailing.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't even realize that mine is modded.
...or is higher than hers.
... or has larger tires.
... or has gray fender flares. She probably thinks hers looks the same as mine.

Yeah, one of those types. I parked near her one day and she went directly towards my Jeep when we got off work. All of the guys notice though. And miraculously, one of my female cousins. "I'm gonna need a stepladder to get in here if you lift it any higher."

oye...some ppl are clueless :ROTFL:

I just saw the same deep water blue KK as ours today in Aspen....i nearly crashed because of the disbelief... :ROTFL:

So I dont post too much but thought since i have a picture it was now worth a post :) just has my RK 3.5 and new tires put on... the KK looks like it should have from the factory now. While I really wanted the JBA kit I needed new tires asap and didnt have the funds to spend more than the RK... hopefully I will do the JBA this summer :)
