I have to tell everybody not to slam my doors. When did people start do this? My old trucks you had to use steady pressure. Or pop the vent windows open. Now people grab the door swing and let go. My hand never leaves the handle until the door is closed. And I've only gotten one I'm sorry, for slamming it.

Yeah one of my coworkers thinks because its a bigger SUV it has to be slammed. the hinges are heavy duty enough for it to glide just right without slamming. :banghead:

Long time reader, first time poster.

This weekend gave Tighty Whitey a fresh batch of synthetic, serviced the front/rear differentials, finally put a true bracket on the front of the vehicle for the license plate, put a black frame on the back plate (they've both always just been bolted on), new brake pads and front caliper hardware and put on some new shoes:

Hankook DynaPro 245/70R16 (btw, zero rub or issues on stock setup . . . this question seems to come up a lot on here)

Looks great! I put on the nurf bars and hoping to get my wheels done soon when it isn't so hot outside. Did you get a good deal on the wind deflectors? Blacked out is such a good look. Definitely can't wait to get the Jet black headlights.

Had to put a new inline fuse in for the power lead to my HIDs today, buddy of mine was helping me do some work and well he fried the old one.

Set the appointment to pick up and install my new drive shafts from Tom Woods as well. Friday I'll have the new shafts and a new front engine skid ( mine was from a KJ and was badly damaged even when I bought it ( too close to the diff for my liking)

The Hypertech tune is doing really good. have had no issues with it as of yet.

With the new gears amd the lockers it's pretty much a tank.

Final things to do:
Fix roof, reinstall side bars and have light bar fabricated - approx another month
Get/Install new front and rear steel bumpers - TBA

Youre not getting the ESP light on with the Hypertech? or did you even change the tire size and gear ratio with it?

I do but that was expected. ESP and ABS still work ( i made sure to test the functions ) just the threshold is much higher. I have changed gear ratio and tire size. also I have the j6 fuse switch installed and that still works to turn off ESP and ABS for offroad purposes.

I think I want to lift my 2011 but I was wondering if people could post some pictures of before and after lift install or just send them to me through a message if you could that would be awesome.

Thanks,
JeepMonkey :JEEPIN:

Roof rail studs ripped out of the roof

the lift you can look at older pictures of my truck. Pretty much a 2.5 inch lift. Everyones copyin my taillight tinting method so if you got a black rig you can base it off mine haha

Stock rails were installed at the time n there was a horizontal force applied to the rails.... the studs are not designed to deal with that... only force straiht down is handled. And since I have the sky slider there were no cross rails to keep anything square so it really stunk

So I shouldn't have any worries in my future, those stock rails aren't used for anything lol.
