If you would like to know how just ask but its not exactly the same as doing the headlights.

My signals have been dodone for over 3 years. Actually had them tinted the 2nd week I had my truck. Hahaha. Don't tint headlints as it will atually retain the heat and you with get micro fractures in the headlight lens

I don't think he tinted them, Monkey was talking in another thread a while back about cracking open the side markers and i must say it looks nice the paint the bezels.

Does is affect the signals use at all? Are they still relatively visible?

Most definitely tinted them. Look at the bulb in the signal... if the lens was clear it'd be bright orange. It is possible to bake thek open like the headlights but because there is not a separate reflector you must be careful to leave some chrome so it will reflect the light back. Loks like he also did the sidemarkers which have also been done

Well Im here to set it straight about tinted or not, and they are most definitly NOT tinted. I opened them up and painted the bezels, you can see the detail in the sixth (6) picture down from the top and can see the blinker bulb just fine in that phoo as well and as for visibility it is a little less then when it is all chrome but I did not take a photo of the top but I left it chrome to help reflect the light down onto the bumper. So I did black an chrome stripes on the bottom, the back is all black, and the top is chrome. I can post a video when I get to my computer later tonight to show the visibility, the light is still just as bright and visible.

If you have any questions about anything else just ask :)
and TlJKK1220 thanks for reading my other posts to

jeep monkey i apologize i see what you did now... i guess that's what i get for looking at pictures on my phone. anyway good work. A person with a commander has done that on jeep forum. Very cool to see it done. I opted just to tint the lens ( i really didn't want to mess with the reflector) plus it blends the signal into the fender i think marking it look pretty uniform

Cgass: nice pics! Looks like a fun day on the trail. You have a sweet looking Jeep.

I spent the afternoon today working under my KK. I installed 3 skid plates, plus the front tow hooks. The gas tank skid and the radiator skid still need to be done, but the engine skid, transmission skid, and transfer case skid are all on there! I had to take apart the front of the Jeep to put on the front tow hooks. I needed to remove the plastic bumper cover to be able to bolt them to the steel bumper and get the correct torque. The disassembly was a challenge! Everything is back together now, though... And there are no extra screws or fasteners left over! I want to shout out a "thank you!" to Diggerfreek for his detailed and well illustrated instructions on how to remove the front bumper. More to come, including photos.

That's alright Jeepin_it_real, I can understand it happens sometimes. And thanks.
I was going to use night shade as well but I want to be different but I did nightshade the side markers so they could blend into the fender.

And To everyone else I am working on a how to, It just won't have all the pictures of the steps.

back to the body shop mine goes. im not sure if the body shop had originally changed the inner fender on it after the accident or if this is just a botched repair job. craziest thing ive ever seen. the inner fender has separated from the rest of the body while i was coming around the last corner to my house. my steering locked up and i freaked out and slammed on the brakes. get out and find nothing wrong with my steering so think it must be something internal to the steering rack. look at it the next day when i had some light and find the sheet metal is pushed up and into the engine compartment. come to think of it every once in a blue moon after the accident i would hear a pop while turning towards the left. whenever i tried to duplicate it i could never get it to happen again. wondering if this was it. talked to insurance and the body shop, so well see what happens. the claim will either be reopened for the repair or the body shop will cover it under warranty.
