Yeah the pieces I found were not big sheets but they were the size of the skinnier piece in the first pick.

I change mine to a board awhile ago and stored a lot more in there. But because I carry a lot of stuff I would have had to unload every thing to get to it. So must everything is in totes. Which right now are laying on the floor in my pole barn because, Im once again trying to stuff more in my KK.

Replaced my track bar heim joints at 79439 on the odometer. Let's see how long these ones last... Now that I don't off road it might be a while longer, let's hope.

My work as an ecologist takes me down some pretty remote forest roads in the mountains (Pretty much the best job there is :goink:), and today I got to drive on a trail in the PA state game lands that was just about as wide as my Jeep. I have some raspberry bush pin striping to prove it! I also put my new skid plates to their first test today (unintentional), and they handled the rocks just fine. So glad I had them, but this work is what I bought them for. The KK was sure footed as a mountain goat in 4 wheel drive, just as nice in that regard as my old XJ. I don't think it has as much room underneath, though... which is why I was glad for the skid plates. I think a 2 inch lift may be in my future. :JEEPIN:

Probably a good idea, especially if your work takes into some remote areas and rough forest roads. The extra clearance would be quite beneficial.

That's a fantastic idea. I'm going to look at doing that too :)

Saw this today, when I went Kayaking.
Would you drill holes to mount cross bars? They are Yakima's, must be for a long kayak or canoe. Illinois plates.

Don't think i'd rely on those for too much weight as its just thin sheet metal supporting everything, unless theres something I don't see in the pics.

It looks like they used rivets to hold them on, but I also wouldn't rely on those either. I would get the after market roof rails like rocky-road.com sells or rocklizardfabrications.com sells and them install bars across that. But I know there is someone on here with a white KK Liberty that actually has a picture with a canoe strapped to the top. The white KK is posted on the rocky-road.com page as pictures of there roof racks.

Put new shoes on the Jeep this morning. 245/75R16 Treadwright Guard Dogs. So far I like them, and they make the Jeep feel more solid and stable.

Well I couldn't find my keys this morning when I was heading out for work. Looked everywhere and then went out with a flashlight and saw them in the ignition! All the doors are locked too! I'm screwed!!!

This is the first time I've ever locked my keys in my car, in my LIFE!

I'm so mad! Is there any way to break in to a KK?

Didn't you get a second key? You may be able to remove the back glass but I don't know how you'll get the latch open. A locksmith can probably get you in.

Yeah he's on the way. Man, this is embarrasing! When I bought my '10 in Aug I asked where the second key was and the Honda dealer said there was only one and that making keys was costing the dealership too much money for all the used cars that came in with one key. :furious:

This is so messed up! I never miss work and I was supposed to be in Pittsburgh at 5! Oh well, I guess I wasn't supposed to go in today.lol Maybe something was going to happen to me. I have never done this before, it's crazy!! I'm out there trying all the door handles, like I just missed finding the one that was unlocked! Coathanger won't fit between the seal and the window.

No doubt if you would have took a hard line and said no sale without a second key, they would have made you one. I don't think a dealer would kill a $20,000 sale over a spare key.

I guarantee you're right. I think the key is like $185. Crap! I might have one made that just opens the outside lock in case of emergencies like this.

Hey, I didn't get a second key either because of the ~$200 price tag. BUT, I got them to cut me a physical replica key that I keep in my desk. It opens the doors, just won't start the Jeep. I have it for just this type of situation. And it was only a couple of bucks to make.
