Just finished - Revtek 2" lift with 265/75R16 on my kk

The measurement on the rear coil spacer is almost 2 5/8" to where the coil sits.

Put in some extended bumpstops to limit up travel a bit and you will probably be OK...easier than cutting and might even save your shocks and strut inserts. Looks good.

So much talk about various lift and what system is better. Revtek 2.25", Daystar 2", Franklift, or Rockcrawler 3.5"? I am planning on taking my 2008 KK offroading and don't want to break down on thr trail with a cheap lift. I no nothing, there I said it, about jeep nor much about lifts. It seems like a would rather be stock and do what I can with the stock lift then try something requiring a lift and break something miles from the highway! What is the max lift for both the front and rear with out MAJOR extensions needs for ie: breaklines and other major parts. Better shocks if required are easy to be changed out, but as I stated need some help from people who have done the lift on these 2008 KK's or know about these 2008 KK's

2 to 3 inch is about the most you will get with out having to extend the brake line and changing out the upper control arms

I absolutely have the 265/75 series (31.65" tall). The 70 series would have been my next choice if the 75's didnt fit. We did a test fit at Discount Tire. As for not using the OTT spacers - that would certainly be an option, but again - with only 3/8" OTT, I believe extended bumpstops are unnecessary. I would imagine that without the small OTT spacers, there would be more issues with rubbing.

And yes, the pinchweld is indeed gone.

As far as I can see on the pic's the infamous pinchweld of the KJ is gone. I would like to know if rubbing arises when this KK is taken offroad.
It means that also 235/85-16's are possible, and that 245/75-16 should be a piece of cake for the KK. Maybe an unlifted KK would already accept these.

great install pics! installing the lift must have provided you with what limits a lift can be done without changing shocks or extending breaklines or other mods. not sure whatthe diffrence between the revtek and daystar, but maybe u or someone can inform me. not sure what a ott spacer is? I figure if I am going to lift my truck for offroading I need quality and then height. the rockcrawler is 3.5" front using struts & 2" rear with spacer. they state nothing else is required but recommend to get longer shocks. has anyone done this lift? thanks for all it help everyone!

jeepin by al has new upper control arms and right now I'm waiting on him to get in the new brake lines for the 4 inch lift

I chk'd out his lift WOW it sounds intense! And the price is out of my range. I think I will look into the rockcrawler 3.5 front w/ strut and 2" rear w/ spacers.

Please read up on Rockcrawlers (crappy) lifts before you spend your money.
Do it right with a good lift from a company who does have customer service instead of someone like them.
If you have money and time to burn then by all means go ahead but if not do it right the first time

thanks for the tips. I could not find anything bad nor good on the rockcrawler for the 2008 KK. thought may either this product was new or it was not a good product. so the only bigger real lift is the 4" lift by al for $2500 plus more if u want the cv cut. I don't have that kind of money to spent on a daily driver that's not a wrangler. so I small spacer lift might be the best for me. but how's the ride?

like stock bc it still uses stock suspension, I would get OME if you can but I dont know if it is out for the KK yet

have u guys looked at the differnce betweeen revtek and daystar? looks similar, spacer, but daystar has some sort of shock absorbers.

If you're doing an OTT lift, GET THE EXTENDED BUMP STOPS! I have 7000 miles on mine now and my struts are undamaged. I can tell you that the bumstops get used, and WILL prevent the strut from bottoming out and crushing the guts. For a DD or light trail use, this is fine. BUT for any real wheeling, you HAVE to go with a spring lift that uses heavier rated springs.
The stock coils are too soft for rough trails and you'll be riding those extended bumpstops all day!

Having said that, the stock ride with 2.5" of lift is great for highway use!

I am not a master mechanic, however I am very mechanically inclined as is my brother who helped (and has owned and heavily modified jeeps for 25 years) and there is no way we could have done it in 2 hours. It took us about 30 minutes for the rears. The fronts, however, took about 3 hours. Heck - disassembling and removing the airbox, battery, battery tray and fuse box holder took a good 20-30 minutes. I have tackled far more complicated lifts than this! Anywho...

how is the ride? any offraoding?! any rubbing?

The ride on the new tires is great - actually as quiet if not quieter than the factory tires. Only issue I am having is the ESP is briefly flashing on. I am guessing that it is due to misalignment after the lift and tires. I installed the lift last night, had the tires installed today and have an appointment for a 4-wheel alignment tomorrow. I am thinking a bind or something is causing the intermittent traction control to tick on and that the alignment will resolve it. Open to any suggestions / experience with this!

And I know - the most IMPORTANT question/comment will be "are you gonna post pics?!?!?!". Yes - as soon as I take some either tomorrow or this weekend I will post them. I might try to take one tonight, although the liberty is a bit dirty right now.
