Hello everyone is there a recommended amount of miles to "bake" the engine before installing the stage II jet chip? I know that dodge pre bakes there engines so you can chip them right off the lot but I just wanted to make sure.

Also what cool air intake should I use K&N or AEM with the jet chip?

I doubt it since technology today is plug and play. They would probably list something on their website if there was any other knowledge we should know.

If you don't already have the jet chip, you should consider the hypertech programmer. I know it costs more but the liberty will relearn everything and put the parameters back to stock with the jet chip. AEM is what mopar has their name on. The stock air box with a high flow filter seems to work well. I use a k&n but some don't like them.

I agree with ya 100 percent on the Hypertech as I run it.

You sure?

The 3.7 uses a really odd t-stat,the KJ and KK use the same t-stat and only a 195 degree is offered.

I guess I have to eat my words  You are correct troy

As they say assuming make an stupid out of me......

Any way, I have had the jet chip in for almost a year now and have logged over 10,000 miles of trouble free driving

Do you have the stage 1 or stage 2? I don't have anything done to my engine but the K and N drop in intake so I bought the stage 1. Ran fine for a few days then the CEL and ETC lights came on. Any suggestions?

The only hypertech reprogramer was just the one for reprogramming for the speedometer for tire dive changes, but has anyone tried the JET V-Power yet?

Not true. Hypertech also makes a performance programmer for KK's as well. :D

Can some one give me a link to the programer and to the jet chip?

and also a part number for the AEM Brute Force?

and third has anyone thought using or are using the V-Force Plus (Jet) yet?

oh and does anyone knows if our jeeps will pass smog with the chip in, or do you just take the chip out and then put it back in after the smog test?
