I have a KA so my rack design won't work for the KK. But here are a couple of Pics.

All the top bars are parallel for caring long stuff, and the front top bar also adds some protection for the lights.

Is that drilled into the mounting screws in the roof or the plastic guard on top?

Here is a thread on my rack build.
The KA has a different roof system then the KK.

Been a while since I've posted, haven't done much lately though.

Installed tail light guards
Image

Worked on the CB install, planning on moving the antenna from the roof rack to the fairly common bracket that goes above the tail light.

Installed a fishing rod rack inside the Jeep, no pics of it at the moment.
Lots of road trips (from NJ to s.w. VA to Charlotte NC to s.w. VA to n. VA)
Now looking into upgrading wheels/tires, thinking a 17" rim and DuraTracs or something.

I just acquired some struts and mounting hardware to do the hood strut mod. :JEEPIN: Pics later once it's installed.

I still haven't done this, and I checked into it before buying my KK!
Maybe someday.

Uh-oh. I filled up with gas this morning and it spat back out and ran down the side of the Jeep at the end of the fillup. :| I hope this isn't the beginning of a trend... I was hoping my '08 would be ok, despite all of the reports of similar issues.

My '08 doesn't do it. From time to time, if I'm not too careful taking the nozzle out, a little will drip. Not worried about it yet. I worked at a gas station and pumped gas for 2 years and I've seen this happen on just about every make and model.

I will say, the first month I had it and put gas in it for the 56789th time, I figured I would see if this tank allows you to top it off at all. BAD IDEA. Some filler necks are more forgiving than others, this one doesn't like a cent more gas after it's already been filled.

You live in PA, so you pump it yourself (not allowed here in Jersey, but I do it anyways), try setting it on one of the slower speeds, and be OCD carefully when removing the nozzle and make sure every drop is out before you remove it.

Jeep must have fixed the problem for the 2011+ models because I top my Liberty of every time and have never had a drop of gas touch the side of it.

How much extra gas do you tend to get in?

I usually do around 40-60 cents more but I have done up to 90 cents more. (About $3.80 gal.)
It's usually just what ever it takes to make the $ amount even.

If that's what your asking

Be careful topping off your tank. It messes up the pump and causes fuel to overflow when fuel gets in the vapor recovery part of the nozzle. That's why most gas stations have a sign telling people not to top off their tank. :2cents:

Yeah, I took it to the second click. I have always done that, just in case the pump shut off prematurely. Maybe I'll stop at the first click from now on...
