Put my stock intake back in for the hurricane weather! I was a little sketched out last night when the roads I take home from work were flooded up to the bottom of my door

Changed out my rear brakes and it feels so great being able to stop now.

The problem is the jack slipped and bent two wheel studs. Went to auto zone and they sold me the wrong studs. So guess I have to take it apart and put it back together again.

Where the heck were you jacking from that it slipped and bent wheel studs?

Edit: sorry to hear about the bad luck!

Had the jack under the differential. When I say it slipped it was barely noticeable. I had the tires slightly off the ground then I notice they were touching. I couldn't get two lugs off then realize the studs were bent. It's an easy fix but pain in the arse when they sell you the wrong part.

I POR15d my JCR rock rails and decided to try some on my rocker panels since I had extra. I took the sill moldings off and spray painted them too. It looks pretty good with no sill moldings and blacked out if I say so myself. By the way, does anyone happen to have the PN for the clips that secure the bottom of the sill? I broke all of them getting them out. If all else fails, the holes will take a 6mm POM rivet.

Awesome! I forgot where you were moving too but we need to setup a NC meet up! I got a buddy with a 2011 Renegade out near Wilmington.

It's looking good Tex!
I've just made a friend who's going to kill my wallet.

My downstairs neighbor owns a fab shop in town and wants to work on my liberty

Installed JBA UCAs & front top plates. Cruise control is going on once my alignment is done.

Looks killer Tex!

Someone needs to mass produce those tire carriers in addition to ATH's rear bumper. I'd seriously kill to have that set up.

That's ATH's place. Tex is working with ATH for a tire carrier. Looks good. Drivers side swing? That's different, seems most are passenger side.

I am willing to make them for ATH bumper owners as a bolt on or weld on if your interested. It's in my build thread
I started thinking about this idea last night about selling spare tire carriers to any thing that is wanted like add ons or center (ex. Jerry cans, high lifts, rack, center tire driver or passenger, even weld on or bolt on options) if you guys are interested just let me know and I will start working up numbers and options.

Thanks guys

Here's mine pretty much finished just missing the spare lol and the cap that goes over the bearings, and I promise I will put up more photos tomorrow

Here's the link to my build thread
viewtopic.php?f=88&t=78545&start=40

And I went with the passenger side to try to help with the leaning but I will do driver side too

It's pretty exciting to have the first prototype ATH rear bumper with tire carrier, it also has a recessed hitch that I love as well. The only reason I did not get JeepMonkey190 to build me one was because I wanted a hitch in order to eventually make her an overlanding vehicle.
I've also been entertaining the idea of having a shop look into making me an auxiliary fuel tank.... *cough cough* lfhoward....

Yeah, you'll see almost every swing out carrier on a wrangler pivots from the passenger side because the tailgate opens that way. Most other vehicles put it on the driver side because putting the tire closer to the driver is the least intrusive for visibility. TexasRugby's is the first one, the production version may look at little different.

I can't wait to see how it turns out. Might have to convince the girlfriend to let me do it. She thinks my KK is too clean looking to throw a spare on the rear end.

I started the lift kit install last night. I am working on it with my Brother-in-law in the evenings after work, so it will take a few days to complete. Last night got off to a rocky start. Some of my tools went missing like my jack stands, and ironically, the one socket i needed to take of most of the bolts so far.... It was pretty late in the evening when we got started. We got everything from the front drivers side removed, and will work on the front passenger side tonight. My plan is to get the rest of the front disassembled tonight, take the shock assemblies to a shop to compress the springs on Wednesday, re-install the front on Thursday, and tackle the rear on Friday.

Is there any trick to getting the driver's side rear UCA bolt on and off? We managed to get the bolt off, but it was not easy at all, and in the process of taking it off, I lost the nut inside a hole in the frame.... so I'm heading to lowes over lunch to get a new one. The bolt seems to be made of aluminum, does it matter what type of nut I get?

That nut should be a grade 10.9 M12 1.75 or 1.5 thread pitch. The bolt isn't aluminum, its a grade 10.9 flag bolt (with an 'ear' on the head to keep it from spinning).

Try using extensions to get to that rear uca bolt on the driver side.

Well, the M12 1.75 fits but they only had it in class 8.8, and no flange head... Looks like I'm going to have to search around a bit.
