^^^^^^^ Half inch bigger. It bolts right up. Not many 3.7L guys have done this mod, but mostly 3.8L Wranglers have been testing it out for quite some time. Most people report better throttle response. I should be able to get the same results especially since I have a programmer, exhaust, and CAI already installed.
I'll be sure to report back when I get the throttle body installed. I haven't received it in the mail yet.

Keep us posted! I'm assuming you're gonna test it with the stock tune and then with hypertech tune?

nFodzy, no not a spacer. He's replacing the throttle body. He's using one off a 4.7L v8. The diameter is larger than our stock 3.7L v6's.

Not planning on comparing tunes. I'll re-install the "regular" Hypertech tune.
Who knows, maybe this would be the right time to run the "premium" Hypertech tune.
Bmxer: For the Wrangler guys, Hypertech actually has a "Viper throttle body" setting cuz they found out this mod was popular with them.

Breaking my heart with that news lol. Hypertech still won't make 2011 tunes. I heard a few 3.7L WK guys were running them too.

I actually found out about the throttle body mod because of the grand Cherokee forum.

I've been running a 4.7 throttle body for a few months and haven't experienced any I'll effects(aside from a little surging at idle it's hardly noticeable) I didn't experience to many gains at least from just feeling a difference. However, it did take a second off of my 0-60 lol not sure how credible that is however

What i did yesterday. I actually think this mod is really handy especially if you keep a recovery and safety kit in your KK. Although I will take the dremel again to it tomorrow to flatten it more so i can put a piece of plywood underneath it for support.

I did this too! Made so much more room. I didn't support it though, i figured my stuff underneath would keep it from bowing to much

That's a good idea. I'd think about it but I keep a change if clothes there and don't have to worry about space. All my recover stuff is in the cubbys or other spots inside.

That spot is a good space for recovery, but whatever I keep back there I hear over every bump.

My jeep is silver, what do you think would be a good color to do accents interior and exterior?

Sky's the limit with silver.

Silverkk went lime green xD

I also managed to clean 10lbs of dirt from underneath my kk lol.

Skid plates work like shovels in the mud

What exactly is the mod, anyway? I haven't had coffee yet but I can't really tell what's different.

You cut the plastic on the bottom of the trunk storage cover. Notice the big plastic rim is now gone

Oh ok. Now that you point it out I can see that.

Tonight I'll be using the Jeep to move a few more boxes (hopefully the last) and then tomorrow I'll be cleaning it for a road trip out of town tomorrow evening.

I reduced the tire pressure. Running at 36psi now.
Headed to the beach tomorrow with it. After that it'll get a wash so it's clean for the trip to Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Saturday. Pretty sure I'm going.

Nice 2008! I like the two-tone look of the 2008 rims. Your lift looks excellent. :JEEPIN:

Next purchase is tires. I also want to darken the turn signals. With the headlights painted black, they really stick out.
