Obviously if you have the HD coils and no extra weight up front you are going to have a rougher ride

new strut is on its way, after driving it around my normal roads and speed bumps i am very happy to report it sounds so much better! Aside from the sqweeking from the strut that will be fixed when the new one comes in, I am a very happy camper now!!!!

now time to focus on tires!

ARGHHHHHH the sqeaks came back and are just as loud as before. if i rock the jeep side to side it sqeaks and sounds/feels like it coming from the spring. and if i bounce on the front bumper up and down it sounds like my sway bar bushings are squeaking. what is the best method for cleaning and lubing the bushings? my next idea is to also check the strut mounts.

Bushings just clean and install, grease etc will slowly destroy them

any idea what makes them squeak?

use warm water to clean?

its funny cause when it rains, the squeaking gets much worse and more pronounced, wonder why that is?

Grease and silicone.

Hot and soapy water.Go to a self serve carwash and turn on the soap setting(wash) and hose them down real good for a min or two each and from all angles.Do this at least every 2 weeks along with the entire under carriage(shiny painted surface when ever, under carriage is more important),do it more often in the winter,at least once a week.

i did not install an ome lift yet but i am about to pull the trigger, and you seem to be the only one with complaint, also i know you got your strut assembled by jeepin by all, don't know if they used the right top plates or what,

Yours shouldn't need replaced, just hose them out good
I have over 185,000 miles on mine, been lifted over 165,000 miles and to date I have never had any noise from them. Now my buddy who never washed his KJ underneath was always having noises coming from his.
