I am planning to intstall a lift and tires in the Spring, but the dealership is being a real jerkstore about telling me exactly how it will affect my warranties. I don't trust those malakas at Chrysler as far as I can throw them.
Ditto, two of the service writers gave me an 800 number for Chrysler Customer Service and said "ask them."
What dealer did you purchase from?
I bought and service my Jeep at RiverFront in North Aurora. They have done pretty well by me aside from a few issues. My Jeep is the first vehicle I have ever bought and although I researched the hell out of car buying and am difficult to sell; I still got caught up in the excitement of buying a new car and allowed myself to be sold by my lying booty salesman, Bill Witt.
The service department does a good job. They have ignored and marginalized my SkySlider issues in the past, but the new service manager seems to be making an effort to help me. The only complaint I have is the greasy fingerprints they always leave on my interior. When I do perform any big mods, I want to get something in writing regarding my warranty.
On my last visit there were a couple guys passing out pamphlets at the entrance. I thought is was a coupon or promotional materials, but I checked it out while I was sitting in the service manager's office and it was a pamphlet bashing the dealership and claiming that they encourage harassment and use racist and homophobic slurs. Apparently the painter's union is in a labor dispute with RiverFront and they were trying to deter buyers. The pamphlet was blatant and graphically descriptive. I thought it was a little funny and so did the cops. They have a right to picket and if the material is libelous, then it is a civil matter.
Gotta be up a 6:30 a.m. to prepare for tailgating at Soldier Field. GO BEARS!
