That front end hampering the trail-ability is possibly an illusion. The seats are hands down more comfortable for trips. Gas tank is moved to the middle Tire mounted under so you can mount other stuff on the tailgate. Window controls on the armrest It drives WAY better I'm going to buy one when the dealer gets the select-trac 4x4 version |

so the low low low front fascia is just an illusion , dont think so its that low gas tank moved to the middle so when you crest the hill you can REALLY drag it, hope someone makes a solid skid to protect it Tire mounted underneath so you can crawl under it when its snowing to get the tire out, plus the tire is covered in crap when you get it out Drives way better, if you like low riders with four wheel drive to go to the C Store then sure |

Tire mounted under so you can mount other stuff on the tailgate. What can you put on the tailgate? Nothing! It lifts up! Add weight to it and it won't go up or stay up. |

Yep, they made the rear door like the Commander...no swing out gate... I still like the KJs better...BUT...I can't wait until we get some new people here with some KKs and watch them get the headaches we all had in the beginning... |

I like it. Change a tire? I'll call the auto club. I just need something to get me to the ski slope with my hunny bunny. I was talking about my "Giants" magnetic sign for the Tailgate. "low riders" Its no worse than the KJ...Sat in one yet? Put a lift on it if YOU need to. So much negativity |

old cherokees didn't have the KJ gate, they had mountable tire carrier there, which folded sideways and allowed the liftgate to be opened, but they looked ugly. if you are buying it for off road you are not worried about dirt, so carry it inside... |

Let's not do here...what was done elsewhere when the KJ first arrived. They are really two different vehicles in many ways...but they are all L.O.S.T. If somebody says they like the KK "much better", don't take it personally. On the other hand, if someone says they like the KJ better, don't accuse them of being negative. All opinions presented without malice are welcomed. Of course we all know that the KJ is the last Jeep made with the "J"eep in the two letter designation. |

Mr. tight Spot, http://www.jeep.com/en/2008/liberty/cap ... e_systems/ From what I read on the other threads concerning capability, this Select trac II seems very capable and interesting. I'm a hand model so I don't change tires, Don't want to damage them or get my suit dirty you know. I'll drink coffee from my thermos and wait. |

FYI... As with my Commander the black facia part under the front bumper is designed to come off. It has four thumb screws that you make a half turn to and that part comes off. It gives you another two inches too your approach angle...and Yes it tells you about this in the owners manual. I just leave mine off for now.. FYI FYI. I want to see these KK's lifted. Lets take this market share back from Hummer (H3) I like the line up... KK, 4 Door Wrangler, Commander. At least they are giving us something fresh to play with. See ya
