Here is a video i found on Youtube which shows the kk doing some off roading ....dont bother turning up your sound unless you like boring music.
Its nothing hard core but it is the first video or picture that i have found where the kk isn't just driving around in the city

I've been researching what car i was going to buy as my first car for a year now and it came down to the kk....and now all that im waiting on is for it to be built because they didn't have what i wanted...jeep green paint, skids (they will probably come off when new ones come out and daystar says that they will have a 2.5 lift by the end of October) and the popular equipment group.... I cant wait :D :D :D

LOL! The guide you hear talking is Clint, aka skrracing.

He's the one in the hat and white shirt in the second part showing the KK coming down the hill.

I want either a Sport or Limited in Jeep Green 4x4. Sunroof and the part-time transfer case.. I'm so ready for it!

I went with the sport because of the manual trans.....i don't trust autos...but i don't know about the sun roof?

At about 10:10, I'm sure there was a little bit of a pucker factor since some of these guys might not have been off road before!

I keep listening for diesel rattle...but to no avail. Other disappointment is the wheels look like they use the bigger lug circle like the WJ/WK/XK/JK, cuz I REALLY like the ones on that Limited

I am pretty sure the video was made by someone from the "press" and not one of the trail guides so Clint probably didn't know it existed.
Then again, Clint knows about everything.....heck he even briefs Chuck Norris on all things Jeep......

So for the KK, who is going to be the Darby and Clint for it? The one's that mod it, wheel it hard, mod it some more, wheel it hard, etc? The KK pioneers?

I plan on moding mine when i get it, but i dont know about wheeling it to death... One thing im working on right now is finding out if the renegade light bar will mount to the top...i have heard that it fits but have not seen any pictures

Being a Pioneer is so exhausting...and you don't have to roll one to test the strength of the roof...I wish someone would have told me ahead of time.

All kidding aside, I hope someone does a slow, methodic, documented modification of a KK. One step at a time...be the hare not the rabbit

You mean tube steel scrap.... Atleast that is what Devil's Den turned them into anyway

Is that totally closed down now? Last time I was down there, that is what I was told.

Yep, both the places I took the first San Antonio L.O.S.T Excursion to are closed to offroad vehicles. Too bad, Devils Den was just a run off area but it is part of a "river"...only runs when a flood happens. Katemcy Rocks is about 1.5 hours away in Mason, Texas. I want to go to Barnwell Mountain again up by Tyler, Texas soon.

Marty going to use the "TED" as a guinea pig for a SAS? I bet he could do it!

Yep that was me at the top of the hill... The pictures do this hill no justice at all.. This was a VERY steep hill and good spots to lift a wheel. The main problem I had was getting folks to lift off the brake to use the hill descent control. It work great. And yes the music has to go for dang sure. I have been out doing my mapping for the BLM and State after I got back form Indy and have not had time to check out any sites for post. But I still jump on line every day for the LOST site. Thanks for the link. Later...Clint
