I am glad to see that they still have rear flex (unlike the Commander)...that is just about the same as a stock KJ as far as I can tell... |

I know where that is. Just outside Buckley. I go there once in awhile when it is really really muddy. I drive that road everyday to and from work since I work on Buckley and it is a straight (well, curvy) shot to my place. |

from the pics it looks like the kj may have a tad bit more flex in the rear then the KK. But atleast they didnt turn it into a commander for flex! Still flex pretty nice, congrads with your purchase. |

all the reviews and jeep say it still has the 8 inches or so of flex, same as the KJ |

That is travel...not flex...although is does equate in a way but there are more factors. The KK will have the advantage with a longer rear axle...the KJ looks like the shocks mounted in front of the rear axle must give it a bit of an edge...it is really too close to call. We need some RTI scores Put a jack under one front tire (the tire itself) and jack it up until one rear wheel leaves the ground...the very moment it leaves the ground. Then you can plug the "inches lifted" and "wheelbase" into this calculator and figure you RTI on a 20 degree ramp. Then you can disco the rear sway bar and see if you get anymore (after you let the Jeep back down on all fours). http://www.4lo.com/calc/rticalc.htm |

thats 16 with the BFGs...with the crappy good years that come with it, i was getting about 20..so we will see..I also have to admit that I have a pretty bad case of lead foot as a side note, if you plan on putting an after market intake on, just go through my photo bucket pictures and you will see how i adapted th one made for the nitro..it really makes a difference, not only in performance but in intake sound If you have any other questions just let me know.. |
