Anyone hear of any plans for a Renegade or Rubicon version of the new KK? I would be very interested to see how they would look. |

I honestly doubt it. We may see "KK Limited - White Glove Edition" or "KK SRT" or something like that fancy.. To answer your question on how they would look, probably something like this: http://gallery.jeepprojects.com/details ... age_id=460 |

I love the Renegade versions and think the picture posted by Hyedipin looks great. (Obviously a real version would need more reasonable tires and wheels but I would drive it) |

Throw a lightbar, a few little visual "mods" to make it seem more sporty or off roader-ish lookin, but a KK with a 4:1, 4.10s, 32" BFGs, a rear 44 (what IFS in the jeep lineup could ever match a 44?), among other little things??? Just dont think they would ever sell over 10k units across the nation if even that (and thats a pretty liberal number IMO)...no demand for such a vehicle line, espeically on that platform...just my opinion |

The renegade came out in '03 on the KJ - so I'd give them a couple model years on the KK before you'll see anything. |

It wouldn't be the same Rubicon package as the Wrangler since they are different platforms but that doesn't mean they couldn't beef up the current model to something similar. Put on a lift, bigger tires, electronic rear sway bar disconnect, different gearing, better armor, you know things like that. Most people who buy the Wrangler Rubicons do so because that is what they would put on their Jeeps aftermarket anyway, so why not do something similar for the KK, that was all I was asking. |

I would think the best thing to wish for would be the Diesel Comeback...the other stuff we can easily do...and Rubi and Rene Decals are easy to make. Someone needs to stop wishing and make thier own. Back in 2002 I made my own Sahara Edition with the Jeep "Sahara Edition" circular decals on the front fender. It drove dealers crazy.
You can see the "Sahara Edition" decal behind the front tire...don't wait for Jeep to do it...walk on the wild side PowerTrax No Slip, Detroit TruTrac,16x7 w? 4.75" bs Steelies, 265/75/16 Buckshot Mudders, Warn 8000i winch, TrailReady front and rear bumpers, and more Some Action Pics: http://suvworld.tenmagazines.com/ew/myg ... sp?id=3514 |

Looks like there's some Hurricane concept in the suspension. |

Just buy a "Rubicon" sticker for your hood I like the adage that a real Jeep is built not bought. Much like a sports team right? I actually enjoy personalizing my Jeeps, adding either OEM accessories or ones from aftermarket. Right now I'm looking forward when my Liberty's drivetrain warranty expires. Maybe I'll do a SAS and put a solid axle up front. |

I don't really have a problem with it unless they try to resell their X's as Rubicons. "Maybe I'll do a SAS and put a solid axle up front." That seems a little redundant. It's kind of like... maybe I'll whip up a PB&J and make a sandwich. |

Last year I went to a focus group and hung out with the Liberty program manager. At that time, no renegade was in the works, however, a Rubicon was. The plans had it using the same tires and wheels as the JK Rubi, and lockers front and rear with a 2" higher suspension. Also had the junk Mopar rock rails like the '05 renegades had. The drawings looked sweet, and the real one looked even better |

I stoped by a Dealership in Golden Colorado a couple of days ago. the salesman seemed rather smug as to the possibilty of a Renegade version of a KK. The more I look at this new JEEP I consider instantaniuos mods that I may be able to make a deal breaker. First the Grill and headlights painted black and the fenders and bumpers 2 toned black. Then look into a bumper and spare tire carrier like the design currently made by Rock Lizzard. Then in the location the spare used to occupy install a extra gas tank with armor protection of coase. Maybe instead if painting my 2 tone configuration black as previously stated, instead have these locations coated with Rhino Lining instead. Yes I admit the design I am talking about leans toward the KJ's Sport design. But what the heah , the way I see it all the complaints including my own was how the new KK was so different then the KJ we have grown to love. |
