The 2008 KK (CRD) comes to France

I just picked up from the French Tout-Terrain 4x4 magazine:

The KK 2008 will be marketed (as Jeep Cherokee as usual) in France as from March 2008.
The model marketed here will be the 2,8 CRD, 4 x 4, Selectrac II. Prices indicated for the different versions:
2,8 CRD Sport: 29200 euro (= 43800 usd)
2,8 CRD Jamboree 32450 euro (= 47500 usd)
2,8 CRD Limited 35000 euro (= 51300 usd)
These will be for the 6-speed manual; optionally a 5-speed automatic (usually at a premium).

The 3,7 V6 will be available in the Limited version only on special demand (same price as the CRD Limited).

The torque of the CRD engine is announced at 410 Nm (2000 - 2800 rpm), but 460 Nm at 2000 rpm for the automatic !
The article speaks of a 5-speed automatic with sequential mode. That would be good news.
All CRD's will be supposedly equipped with particle filter.
