With the strong euro that will be around $ 66,700 Hi chero37, That's a lot of money for a $20.000 car! I guess Jeep will take $22.500 profit and the Dutch government will steel the other $24.200. I think the KK is going to cost just over $50.000 in the UK, so that's also $42.500 in the pockets of Jeep and $7.500 to the tax man. Ryno is right, in the US you could buy a Range Rover/Porsche Cayenne/Audi Q7 for this kind of money Maybe it is better to wait for a while before ordering one, with the global credit crunch, the anti suv taxes in Europe and high fuel prices, sales are going to suffer and prices will come under pressure, also the KK is priced too high, it's in the same price league as a Freelander or a X3 both worse off road but Miles better in quality, brand appeal and on -road. We saw the same with the Grand, they tried to sell it for around $68.000 in the UK but after a while they came with a special lower spec edition for $51.000 and that same model is now offered for $49.000. It's a rip- off but only if you buy one |

if it's anything like Canada's, I'll take $25,000 loaded up KK sports and cheap used KJs all day long Seriously, though, $66k up there...is there a reason? an import tax on automobiles? I know shipping from Toledo, OH on a slowboat would probably be pricey, but not so pricey as to crank up the price by 40 G's. Maybe every salesman there gets a new BMW M3 for commission? |

I agree thunderbird....and I think a lot of that price is taxes of one form or another. I think they can get a tax break on one if you buy a model that is designed for delivery purposes.....no rear seat...pretty bare bones I think. |

for that price....fly to the US, buy it for $20K, then sit in it while it rides a ship back to your homeland...I bet you save a good 30K!!! what a rip!! LOL That or your car salesmen/dealers are spending one too many weekends over in Amsterdam!!!! |
