only the 2.7 liter V6 and 4.7 liter V8 engines are capable of running E85... i dont think chrysler is developing any more flex fuel engines until they release their durango and aspen hybrids...

Is E85 really even a viable option up there in Miami Co.? I know it's not in Greene Co. There are only 40 e85 pumps in the whole state, at last report. Even if Kroger in Troy does have one, that is a pretty limited option unless you never leave that area.

I think everyone (makers) are jumping on the E85 bandwagon for publicity reasons. I don't see it as being viable before it is replaced. They seem to be using it as more of a band-aid. And if it ever takes off, any fuel savings will be eaten up by increased food prices due to the increase in competetion for the low-end animal-feed quality corn.

I laugh everytime I see an e85/flexfuel emblem on a vehicle knowing that only about 10% of them will ever have e85 put in them, and that the owners' only know what a salesweasel told them. So, everyone pays a little more to make a vehicle e85 friendly with no guaranteed pay off.

Yes Sir! I live (1) mile from that Kroger's store.

The sons***** yanked out my DIESEL pumps (for my 98 Ram Cummins) and slapped in (2) E85 pumps.

I would be willing to try E85 IF I had a vehicle that could use it.

I agree with your other statements about E85.

It is NOT the answer to getting off Terrorist Oil.

Matter of fact, it takes MORE fossil fuel to PRODUCE/TRANSPORT E85 that regular gasoline!!!

E85 can NOT be run through pipelines that also carry gasoline. They DO NOT MIX! There for ALL E85 MUST be hauled to fuel stations via TANKER trucks.

Also, E85 is 15% LESS fuel efficient and the COST is only about 15% LESS that dino-gasoline. I read Kroger's fuel sign at least once day.

It's VERY interesting how the price of E85 goes right UP and DOWN with the price of gasoline! Also interesting because there is ONLY 15% GASOLINE in E85!!

Makes one go.....HMMMM ???????

If you ever see a jeep green CRD running around you should wave. It will probably be my wife and she will certainly give you a strange look but you should wave anyhow.LOL
