here is a cut and paste from allpar. mike

Allpar News: Five stars for seven Chrysler vehiclesSeven Chrysler products earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s highest rating for frontal- and side-impact protection. The NHTSA awarded five stars to the 2008 Jeep Liberty, 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2008 Dodge Nitro, 2008 Dodge Caliber, 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, 2008 Chrysler Pacifica and the 2008 Chrysler Town & Country.

Commenting on the results, Frank Klegon, Executive Vice President -- Product Development, Chrysler, said, "Through a broad range of engineering technologies, Chrysler is offering its customers the safety they expect and deserve. Both passive and active safety systems enhance the inherent stability and safety we design into all of our Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles."

With how well the ESP works and the side impact airbags there is no doubt in my mind that my Jeep is safe. :D Now I just have proof

It will be interesting to see how much insurance rates go from a 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 to a 08 Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4. I pick my KK up in the AM! :D

I know I was pleasantly surprised when I went from insuring a $50 Isuzu Trooper (I miss that thing!) and a nearly two-decade-old T-bird and my bike to just my KJ and my bike.

Go figure, drop a 2 door coupe with a V8 from your insurance and it magically goes down
