I noticed this when I was playing around with the interactive display at the dealership this saturday. It looks just like this:
you can get it with off road lights if you want, but for over $400 dollars I'll stick to my more protective westin bully bar. |

Ridiculous looking...and for $400 you are halfway to the new ARB for the 08. Mopar is desperately trying to make a buck, and its sad. That thing shouldnt be a dime over $150. |

Saying it looks ridiculous is a stretch in my mind, I like the look. But, it does seem a little pricey. |

for what it is, it is a great addition. one of the the problems with the kk, it is lack of good mounting spots for extra light with out drilling in to the bumper |

Has anyone completed an offroad worthy KK yet? With bumpers, lift, wheels/tires, winch, etc? Im sure it is a fine road going vehicle but I think it will look awesome once it gets the LOST treatment |

That looks similar to the Commander grill guard that had a winch mounted inside. Though I have no idea if it's Mopar or not. Seen here: I wonder if the KK's is stout enough (or has the clearance) for winch in there. |

The next $50,000 that I come across, I will build a rig just like that one. I love it too (provided it works as well as it looks). |

That XK is AEV Iceland Expedition Commander The one on the pictures commander is AEV Winch Mount - Combined with a modified Mopar brushguard. Watch it here: http://gallery.jeepprojects.com/details ... age_id=653 it is not meant to be crawling rocks. |

Yep, in Iceland they build big rigs. Usually the ones they build for crossing the Northern Territory are build with Huge Tires and not really much wheel travel...and are all Solid Axle (usually Toyota Land Cruisers). Otherwise they build WILD Hill CLimbers for the Lava Hills. Maybe one day I will go back to Keflavik to live. Great videos Darby! I liked the second one best. That stuff is nuts! Back to the bumper: I'm not clear on the purpose of it but it actually looks good. |
