I have an 02 Liberty. Thinking of getting another vehicle. Is the 08 Liberty going to have any issues with an aluminum front diff. or ball joints like the 02? Otherwise an FJ will be in my future (great aftermarket support).

The front diff. on the KK has extra casting material for strength and I'm pretty sure jeep won't make the same mistake with the ball joints again... it cost them a pretty penny for all the recalls

I hate to say it but if wheeling ability is a high priority, the FJ wins hands down.

Let's not start that kinda thread. The FJ has some great stuff...especially the "Trail Team Special Edition FJ". You can also get optional 32" tires from the factory with no additional lift. A-Trac is also pretty nice but similiar to out TC.

The thing is, if you have say $25,000 to spend including mods...you can build pretty equal vehicles. Stock vs Stock...the KK is a bit behind (tire size, wheel well size and ground clearance)...but of course all that can be improved.

Nothing to do with this but a weird video run:

I had tested the FJ before the new KK, in terms of ride on/off road, you cannot compare them equally.Mainly because the ride is far superior to the FJ. But I still prefer my lifted KK to an FJ, it has went places I really thought about later...hmmm I can't believe I did that trail, that was insane!! And when the KK high sides it does not bounce you like the FJ does to you, the KK stays planted and gives you more feedback. Reminding all this is just what I have experienced and felt, litterally. :D
