| Post subject: | Brakes Squealing |
Just noticed today that when coming to a stop, the brakes are squealing. It's very very faint, and the only reason I noticed it was because I had the stereo off and the window down with no other cars around me. Anyone else notice this when they first got their KK? Might just be the brakes "breaking in" so to speak. They only have 700 miles on them now. |

just give them a good wash with a pressure washer and you will be good to go |

I had an issue with my rear brakes squealing so I took it in. They said there was excess glazing so they clean it off and they where good to go. If the powerwasher doesn't work I'd take it in.... it should be under warranty. |

Thanks. It better be under warranty, it only has 700 miles on it. Also, when I am doing 40MPH +, there is the squealing or whistling noise coming from the left side (same side I heard the brakes squealing). I can't quite figure out if it's brake squeal or something with the window seal making noise as air is passing over it. My old KJ's used to have that problem, though not quite as bad. |

Otherwise I did have a bad weatherstripping that caused whistling on my passanger door. You could see where the mud and water was leaking in. You know I've been told many times: "Don't give Joe something new cause he'll just break it" so far that has been true. |

it could be the weather stripping... I think the nitro had a problem with the front windshield |

It's tough to tell if it's rotational or not. One second it sounds rotational, the next it sounds like the wind. It is noticeable when doing over 40. Taking it to the dealer to see what they think, so I will post what they say it is. |
