well I did it and had a look at an 08 to see what the fuss was about and let just say Impressed with the comfort and could live with the plastic easy to clean, nice ride, storage is a little bigger and organizied but what is that orange dot on the door hinges yep u guessed it surface rust on the paint on a brand new vehicle and a dead battery for none keyless entry hmmm that wasn't that impressive about it but other than that I like the 08 liberty comfortable inside and like the looks of the sports with the painted grill instead of the crome grill. I just can't get over the seats from 02 to now is unreal. I am really starting to come around on the 08 liberty now it just needs a nice coil lift for it and it will be a nice offroader that is more than civil onroad. I am not in the market anytime soon just bought a bds coil lift for my 02 but I think I may consider the new design even over the wrangler. |

Hey sweet another BC person! i will be going out around hope frequently soon, my ride stands out when i go by, just look for the tag "Canadian Pacific railway" Anyways, surface rust on a new vehicle? wow...and in bc? not many rusty cars in BC. Anyways, they look alright, plastic didnt bother me, the ride i didnt like, too mushy for my taste. |

that surface rust your talking about is probably rail dust. When cars are shipped by train some metal particles from the train rails attach to the paint. The good news is all it takes is a little clay bar time to get rid of it. I would be sure that dealership is aware of it before buying so the detal shop can get rid of it. |
