I've got the KK Sport, just put the factory chrome grill on it, was thinking about doing the side and rear mouldings but I think the chrome is a bit much both in the price and the overall look. Anyone tried to just put a chrome decal maybe over the lettering on them? Interested to see what that'd look like. |

Interesting concept, I bought the sport because I didn't like the chrome on the limited. I also like the wheels of the sport over the cheesy look of the chrome wheels of the Limited. Chrome Lettering on the trim would provide some contrast that would improved the look without taking away from it which I think too much chrome does on this model. |

I like the idea but I don't like chrome so here is what I did:
I used touch up paint to color the lettering... it was a pain in the @$$. |

Hey that does look good Joe. I was wondering what I could do to make the word Liberty stand out on the black door insert, and that would work well. Plus it doesn't add too much bling. In fact the other day, I spotted someone straining to look and try to read the "Liberty" on the door in order to see what kind of vehicle it was. What was Chrysler thinking when they hid the most important part of the identification for the Jeep? Good job. Let us know how it holds up. Paul |

It might at that Digger, but I was thinking something with a little more contrast. Silver, or grey maybe....or a lighter red might look good too. I just had the windows tinted real dark and that made her look pretty sharp against the red rock. I'm gonna do it...I think....while I'm on vacation next week. Paul |

gosh, I just assumed that all of the Liberty's came with deep tinted windows, but I see from your avatar that they don't. I guess maybe that was part of the "popular equipment group", I'm not sure. It does look good though with the deep tint windows against the red rock:

it's not holding up as much as I'd like. Looks like I already have a few chips. I guess on my day off I'm gonna have to do it the right way.... mask it off, sand it, spray adhesive promoter, primer and then paint.... now thats really gonna be a PITA |

Yep, you're right Rick, it does come with the popular group. Unfortunately, the dealership I bought her from didn't have any with that option. There were Limiteds and then Sports with virtually no options. I did find out though, that the "dark privacy glass" option is just that....privacy glass. According to what I've read and heard, it blocks 0% of the bad rays from the sun. Down here in South Florida we don't get the tint so much for privacy....more for blocking heat and UV rays. You gotta have it or you'll fry. I got the darkest legal here....15% on the rears, and 30% for the front. Maybe I'll hold off on the lettering Joe.... Paul |

That looks even better than I thought it would. If you go with the more involved attempt, let me know how it goes. |

THe Jeep web site let me search area dealers til I found one with the equipment and features that I wanted on it. However, the tinting is not called "Privacy Glass" it's called "Deep Tint Sunscreen Glass" Trust me, it blocks out a lot of heat and UV. I live in Central California and it's normal to have 100+ weather here during the summer. We've been at about 95 to 98 degrees for the past couple of weeks. We normally get zero rain from about May until November. It bakes here, so the sunscreen glass is important. The glass in the Liberty works fine. I had a min-SUV about 10 years ago that didn't have tinted windows and did like you, I had them tinted. The only problem I had with the after market tinting was that it scratched pretty easy. My kids would get out of the back seat and let the seat belt buckle loose. It would always end up hitting the window and put scratches in the tint. |

Here's an idea. Until you decide on which color you like, just paint each letter a different color. |
