You can fit 31x10.5-inch tires with little to no trimming with proper backspacing. The front is raised 3.5" and the rear 2"
www.rockkrawler.com

I know nothing about this lift, but I've been seeing it in a few of my magazines.

I dont know if I would trust them, Ive not heard anything good from the KJ lifts, I would just stick with the tried and true OME

I’m banking on the fact that they have learned from their mistakes on the KJ. Their 2” lift is more conservative as compared to what they had for the KJ.

The kit contains strut forks for the front and spacers for the rear

I posted this on another thread, but I looked into this at our local place http://www.ok4wd.com.

They told me they have done about 20 of these, and had 19 come back with all sorts of problems. Blown struts, CV problems, etc. I said, "So I guess you wouldn't recommend it?" He said, "Trade it in and get a KJ."

He was joking . . . not funny though. I am waiting to hear more, or maybe some other stuff will be upcoming?

Can someone explain to me what a Frankenlift is? This is my first 4WD vehicle since my '87 Ford Bronco II which I sold for $1200 in 1999.

It is called a Frankenlift due to the fact it has parts from different companies, the first Frankenlifts had Rancho struts, OME coils and Daystar top plate
you can still get them that way or with all OME springs /struts etc

OH and about Rockkrawler I am getting ready to lift my little Red Wagon that I had as a kid , but they are so bad I will not even use their lift on it

This is my first post so hi ya'll. I just recently purchased a KK and without doing any research, purchased the Rock Krawler lift. :? I'm new to the Liberty and didn't think a 3.5" lift would cause any issues with it, then I started reading all of the horror stories with lifts greater than 3". :( I installed the lift and the CV angle doesn't look bad to me. I was actully more worried about the upper ball joint. I hope I"m not about to ruin a new vehicle because of the lift. ( the wife will be PISSED!!!) I called and spoke to Rock Krawler and they assured me that the lift is fine and that the black Liberty in the photo has over 38,000 miles on it with no problems. What do I need to watch for on this Jeep? Thanks for the info.

Uh, RK's 2008 Liberty that can't be more than a year old has 38,000 miles on it? I smell *sniff* bull poop.

I'm banking on this lift being identical to the 3" lift for the KJ

Yeah, I asked about the miles and they said it was used as a travel vehicle.

I have another question if anyone knows. What is the length difference between the clevis on an early Liberty and one after Jeep lowered it? RK told me 1".

Post subject:

yes the clevis for the KK is 1" longer than ones from the KJ

Ok, I may be confused here. I thought that the KK has the same clevis that a '03 and up KJ has, because the Liberty failed rollover tests in '02 and Jeep lowered it. Where I'm going with this is that the RK clevis is 1.5"-1.75"(I didn't check the exact measurement) longer than the one I removed from the KK and it resulted in 3" of lift. So then the RK clevis should only be about .5"-.75" longer than one from a '02 KJ. Correct or am I way off?

the '02-07 clevis's are all the same, they made the coils a little bit shorter after '02 for the rollover risk. and for it to get you 3" of lift it would need to be 1.5" longer then the stock KK clevis

RK told me that Jeep shortened the clevis 1" therefore lowering the Liberty 2".

nope, they lowered the suspension 3/4"
