Ambient Lighting Package.

I think it looks like a very cool feature, I am sure some here would deem it frivilous, but I am a sucker for interior lighting.

I've got it in my 08 Grand Caravan but it is up in the ceiling along the TVs. It provide enough light the kids can move around but not annoy me in the rearview mirror. Not really seeing why it would be needed to see your feet in the KK tho... :?

they do look cool especially at night but not for $230, although it is cheaper than Ford who charges $300 for theirs on the Mustang and Focus

I am not a bling bling kind of guy but I can see where it could be very useful to me during the many many miles on the road. I need it in my F-150!

BLING BLING? REALLY?!?!

I hardly see this as a bling bling thing.

I am definitely not a bling bling guy.

You Jeep guys can be harsh.

We bought a new 2009 Scion XB a couple of weeks ago for my daughter to drive around. There are several of those lighting options available for it as dealer installed options. They have the under dash kits, the cup holder kits, and even one that lights up the door sills with a Scion log on them. Of course all those add-ons are fairly pricey.

My wife and I rented some sort of Dodge Caliber that had the lights in the cup holders..............................................that was a fantastic option! I never thought something like that would be a good thing to have but it was.

It's not that hard to see a moving vehicle during the day time, but Canada made daytime running lights mandatory on vehicles. :?

I can see some value in some ambient lighting in some areas. Down by the feet, not so much, but maybe in some areas. I too am curious how the cup holder light would work.

Couple of questions:
How do you add the lights to the cupholders?
How do you change the color of the lights?

I don't see this as bling, just kind of cool option if you want to add something different to the interior of your Jeep.

Or lights in your cup holders..................lol

Just kidding, the lights in the cup holders are something you wouldn't really think about till you have them......................then you wonder how you ever lived with out them.

[self]no, don't...seriously, don't[/self]

Ambient lighting is cool...It'd be nice if ALL the lights in my KJ matched. Heck, I'd be happy with lights in the floor like EVERY OTHER CAR I'VE HAD (sans old Jeeps and Isuzu Trooper)

I do have a 08 Town & Country touring edition and that little light have never bothered met.... the TVs are the ones that are killing me!!!! those are obstructive to your rear view mirror... BTW: you can turn off that roof light if you want to, there a switch by the headlamps knob.. thats the one that turns off the ceiling light.

I loved the idea of this mod when this was announced for the charger... I ended buying some cold cathodes for underneath and some cheap leds they sell on autozone and I did the exact same thing this kit does at a fraction of the cost!!!! =)
really cool light effect!
