This is from their website...
Description:
4 inch lift kit for Jeep Liberty, KK

4" front custom strut, assembly required
Al's A-arms
Stainless Steel brake lines
4" rear springs
4" hydro shocks
Adjustable track bar
Rear bump stops
Installation instructions
One cool looking Jeep Liberty

Does it really come with a "Cool" looking Jeep Liberty?

Just kidding. My question is what is the assembly needed on the custom strut? Also, what is everyones views on this. They have a pic on the website, but I havent seen anyone on here with it on their Jeep yet.
I know alot of you all swear by this JBA name, but is it honest opinions, or free advertising?

give me a few weeks  as far as the strut, i believe it is just a matter of assembly of the unit(spring, strut, strut plate....)

Looking at the detailed pics of the lift components the front strut needs to be assembled but it shouldn't be any more difficult than a Daystar install (actually easier since you only have to assemble it, not take it apart and put it back together). Don't know of anyone who has this on a KK but I believe Dave (tokyojoe) has a 4" kit on his KJ, and I think there was someone else who did the 6" lift.

Basically it's All-Js, Rock Lizard and JBA - those are the three big names as far as aftermarket parts for the KJ/KK go. There are other companies that sell lifts and such, but they don't offer the abundance of aftermarket Liberty accessories like they do for the rest of the Jeep models (TJs, JKs, XJs, etc).

After having tested fit and trail tested one of the first KJ 4" kits, I have given Marlin some suggestions for the KK kit since Diggerfreak is kind enough to let me tear into it to find out how the make the kit the best on the market. With some of the issues we ran into during the design and test phase of the KJ kit, I suggested to Marlin that most customers may not have access to a quality shop to assemble the front strut assemblies correctly without screwing something up. So, Marlin is now shipping the kits with the front struts setups completely preassembled, so it is just a matter of removing the old and bolting in the new. The control arms on the KK are right and left specific, so I sent him some measurements for alterations to make the KK arms, which look great (already have them in hand). The rear trackbar was another issue, as the KK has a five link rear setup similar to Wranglers, so an adjustable trackbar is needed to recenter the axle. Most adjustable trackbars for other vehicles are only adjustable at one end, so you have to unbolt the trackbar, adjust it the correct length, then bolt it back up. Having looked at the KK, I suggested to Marlin that he would easily be able to make an adjustable trackbar that is adjustable at both ends, with one end being reverse threaded, so you can adjust the length without unbolting it just like a tie rod on SFA vehicles. The biggest holdup with the kit is the rear brakelines. The stocklines are too short...period. Even with stock suspension, when the axle is at full drop the rear lines are dang near banjo strings. Unlike other jeeps that are a simple unbolt the soft line from the hard line and replace with longer softline, the KK has the softline built into the hardline, so there is no way to disconnect the two where they meet, so you have to replace the entire line all the way to the MC. Nathan (Digger) mentioned getting soft lines and running the entire length, which got Troy and I to brainstorming, and what I mentioned to Marlin we would do is it would be easier to cut, nut and flare the hardlines at the wheel well, bolt a junction box at the unibody, then we could bolt up a longer stainless line. A little messy with the fluid, but not a difficult task, and a lot cheaper than running new lines all the way to the MC, because each rear brake has it's own line, and custom made/formed hardlines all the way to the MC would be a cost, and not to mention you would have to drop the gas tank to install the driver's side line. So, when we get the kit and start the install, we will have to mess with the lines to figure out exactly what we are doing, then pass the info on to Marlin so he can finish the kit with all the parts and instructions. The kit is already on its way to me so I should have it by early next week if not by this weekend. Should have it all figured out and installed by the end of the month.

Very encouraging news.

Are there plans for a shorter quality kit? Meaning... 2-2.5" coil spring lift?

Yes, it is the same kit, just 2.5" coils, not sure on price.

glad t hear all of this. I am all for keeping the lift cheaper as of now it is pricy and then need to get it installed and how much that gonna cost. why a 4" lift? confused as how a untested lift height can be marketed. I am not interested in rolling or be resisted to level ground, I mean I like to be off camber.

4" lift is not a untested height and you do not have any more of a chance of rolling from a 4" lift compared to a 2.5" lift. Also the price for the 2.5" lift from JBA will not be that much cheaper,it will need all the same parts as the 4" lift just the 4" coils will be swapped for 2.5" coils.

So does that mean down the road someone could swap out the necessary parts to go up to a 4" lift? That could be a good selling point :D

How is this true if your center of gravity is higher now from the 4" lift? It just seems that way I am no big 4x4'R so thanks for all ur help. oHH and hope the lift is cheaper from not running new brakelines

I have a feeling the 2.5" kit will need new brake lines too, from what they've said the rear lines are very taught at full droop even on stock suspension.

for one thing the new springs on the lift will be of a higher rate than the junky stock ones so it will not tip as easy as stock. or feel as tippy as you say.
Stock suspension should be junked at 15 miles, it has served its purpose
And yes for you guys/girls with the "new" Libertys you will need new brake lines no matter how high you go, Thank the engineers at Jeep for that one!

Yep new brakes lines will be needed for any lift on a KK or you are taking a very big risk of ripping apart your brakes lines.

Don't send hippies my way... We have a good thing going. They don't come near me, I don't spray them with soap and water.
I spent years trying to get away from Tahoe. They can stay there, I will stay here. Everybody is happy.

Confused as it seems like All-Js and JBA are the same. And then Rock Lizard is the test /installer. So there is really only one company that is manufacturing non spacer lifts. So are options are a coil lift, strut lift or a spacer lift. What does everyone think of a strut lift in the front and spacer in the back... better than spacer both front and rear?? Anyone got links to all these sites?

COnfused as jeeping by al's website 2008 liberty kit has stainless steel brakelines? Should that be removed and his estimated price for this pricey brakelines be removed I would by his kit in a heart beat for $1800!!!!!

Confused as jeeping by al's kit comes with stainless steel brake lines per his website.
