Holiday Greetings from Jeep

I got an envelope in the mail today that said "Here's something to brighten your holiday...."

Inside is a certificate that I take to any Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep dealer. Once there, I'm supposed to present the certificate and they fill in the dealer number.

Once I get that, I go to my "personal URL" that is listed on the certificate, and fill in the certificate number, and the dealer code and they will mail me a $50 Visa debit card.

Not too bad. I was sort of ticked off last year when I missed out on the free Nikon digital camera, so maybe this will partially make up for it.

So are they sending these out to everyone who purchased a new vehicle this year or something?

I don't know about this year. I purchased mine in October of last year. It's got 23,000 miles on it.

lets see they are in D.C. begging for your hard earned tax dollars but yet they are sending these out, now isn't that a crock of pooooooo :shock:

yeah, and they flew up there in those private jets too.

I think they're trying to make up for the Nikon SLR camera they didn't give me last year.

Yes and no. Flying to DC on their private jets is obviously wasteful. But sending out a token of appreciate *cough* bribe *cough* is a form of marketing and helping to ensure customer loyalty. And customer loyalty is something that vehicle manufacturers are going to live and die on more than ever in the next few years, or even months. I know in our case we had been loyal GM fans but frankly the cars we saw left us unimpressed to say the least. So after 15+ years we went with Jeep. Lose too many customers that way and you're laying off workers.

Now, if I'm a Toyota owner and I hear about Jeep owners getting a rebate with my tax money I might get a little annoyed!

Of course being a Canadian I'll be the most annoyed of anyone, as this rebate/customer incentive is almost certainly going to be a U.S.-only bonus.
